Man vs Machine!
It's 2049 and robots are being programmed with a human element known as 'mother code'!
No -thanks- as we all know mom's can't be duplicated.
Yet, they tried and failed and now the government wants to destroy the mom robots.
Kai- was born into this crazy life with Rho-Z his robo mom who transformed into something never expected.
Now he must face it all and either destroy her or risk it all for her.
What will he choose?
A crazy mix of bio-terror intertwined with robotic madness.
Some points were assumption based leaving it up to the readers to interrupt while other sections where too descriptive causing some disconnect throughout the plot.
Those who've not had the background information prior to reading may feel a bit lost in it all.
Hope you find this review helpful.
Thank you for this exclusive ARC via Goodreads Giveaway in exchange for this honest review.
"All civilizations think they are invulnerable. History warns us none is."
The history of the world repeats...and sadly the idea that technology is making us better as humans is being tested daily. The history of the world is being tested to destruction.
The isolation , the depression, the increased incidents in all regards are being magnified.
See back in time they didn't have such luxuries nor necessities and back then they 'communicated' and worked together to solve issues not texted.
Well, safe to say this one blew me away as I sat reading it the night before the most holy of days and the birth of Jesus Christ.
So, if you're a fan --pick it up!
It was splendid in every way from the setting, to the thickening plot, to the quick transactions --it all flowed beautifully.
Faith that cannot withstand the truth is not a faith worth holding.”
Can faith hold up to temptation?
Those who inhabited may be more in question than those who were forced to leave.
Food for thought so be forewarned...
Thank you to Goodreads for the exclusive early read copy in exchange for this lovely review.
Who knew this author grew up just 3 hours to the far left of my state. Or for that matter, who knew her real name wasn't FERN? ME! OMG! Newbie writer, reader, reviewer here.
My 2nd home was and still is the library. It's where I went to feed my kids, to get educated, to help my kids enjoy the love of reading, and to eventually find myself and my talents lost in a book. Actually make that many books over 1k reads a year.
So, do me a favor read Fern's bio as you'll learn so much like I did about her.., "When my youngest went off to Kindergarten, my husband told me to get off my ass and get a job.
Those were his exact words. I didn’t know how to do anything except be a wife and mother. I was also a voracious reader having cut my teeth on The Bobbsey Twins, Nancy Drew, The Hardy Boys, Cherry Ames and the like. The library was a magical place for me. It still is to this day. Rather than face the outside world with no skills, I decided to write a book. For some reason that didn’t intimidate me. As my husband said at the time, stupid is as stupid does. Guess what, I don’t have that husband any more. Guess what else! I wrote 99 books, most of them New York Times Best Sellers."
Is this not fascinating? My god I think we married the same man?!
What a true inspiration for us all!!!
Can we not just all stand up and give her the applause she deserves!
I had no idea...but luckily she worked through it as I think I'm following in her footsteps.
I have three teens and have been told that," I don't deserve a break till my kids are 18." Oh, and don't forget the famous line, "Get a job." Of course, he failed to mention he'd hide in the woods and refuse child support for over a year while we lived on credit cards w/o a home or job to survive.
Just like this author I've attempted to crawl back out, since 2010, following separation and subsequent divorce in 2013. Needless to say even with a dual masters + 20 yrs volunteering and every accolade ie. high honors & with national awards for public service - non of it matters with a wage gap in employment.
I sit typing this in extreme poverty praying for a miracle. As my teens are now 19,16, and 13 and the father has only weekend visits and couldn't care about their needs and wants. IE. College, cars, lab tops, proms, class rings..You know all the expensive items.
Ok, I digress, this book was a good read and I truly enjoyed it!
Countess Annie de Silva where are you?
Her friends are worried as they are a 'sisterhood'.
Could she have left to go back to the mountain in Spain- a spot where both her best and worst days were had?
Could she have been called back to the monastery?
With pinpoint accuracy and thrills this one will have you wondering, waiting, and hoping for the best.
Loved it!
Two thrilling mysteries for the price of ONE!
Love the podcasts angle especially in regards to the court room drama -which was the most powerful and riveting experience in this work.
The fact that a sexual crime has occurred and the young 'golden boy' and star of this small sport motivated town refuses to admit guilt and in fact denies such charges which creates a firestorm of allegations and judgments.
One person knows the truth but will it be uncovered and will it be within the confines of this twenty five year long mystery.
Was Jenny murdered, was it a drowning, was there a cover up?
When the past and present collide the fireworks explode and someone become implicated.

If you've never dealt with toxicity, masks, false persona's, personality trait disordered individuals; count yourself one lucky person.
This is not the case here with Thomas the doting, hard working, vicarious husband and father who feels he's a 'good man' but yet suffers from paranoia and anxiety from his past.
You see his past is quite dark, disturbed, and darn right dangerous!
What those closest don't see is the rest of this hidden iceberg of a man. The part he chooses to keep hidden at all costs. The part of the false sense of self that he operates from on a daily basis.
His evil ways are just part of the Jekyll and Hyde persona as if you wait long enough and survive it all you'll see the totality of the circumstances come to life in plain view.
This is why monsters are so hard to detect as it's the smoke, fog, mirrors that the victims encounter and the bottomless black pit of nothingness that's needy and wanting all the time.
The reality check here is the warning signs were provided but just in bits and pieces in a subtle way.
What causes someone to just 'lose it' and can he become whole and prosperous?
Well, ‘Our lives were good – great, even. We were happy and secure. We had everything we needed. There was no way for anyone to know – least of all me – that it would all end the way it did.’...
Perhaps, in time the secrets to the how's and why's of it all will be revealed and the case may be closed but for now suffice to say this one will propel you to a place that's quite scary yet thrilling all the same!
Hold on tight this one is a fab read!
The human trafficking element in this one is so disheartening yet reality tells us it's all too common and far too real!
This one had plenty of heart pounding non stop action in Croatia and abroad as we learn that the US may be next.
From the Balkans all the way back to Hollywood, Court knows he has to act and act fast!
CIA handlers have intelligence that terrorists are about to strike and it's only 'One Minute Out' before it all goes down.
Can Court make his move before it's too late?
Court is at the center of it all as the CIA won't act w/o intel in place as the Gray Man is once again on TOP!
Love it!
As a newbie reader to the Gray Man series with this being the 3rd under my belt, I can assure you they are always a fun and fab read!
Thank you to Mark Greaney for this sweepstakes giveaway and early ARC copy!

This one like all of Nora Roberts books was superb in not only the writing, the plot, and setting were all fantastic.
Eve is about to bring it down to a science when she begins to crack the case of the nerve agent gone wild.
Now I know what you're thinking what is it about this 'All That Glitters' delivery and why is it crucial to the plot?
Well, I can't give out all the secrets but safe to say the trail is hot and damning and you all know someone is about to get played!
There's plenty of action, suspense, and mystery here to please everyone so don't worry about trying to become detective and figure it all out on your own as this one flows nicely from start to finish.
It's a masterful story with a mastermind behind it all and the excitement level is sky high.
Will Eve be able to prevent more injuries and or deaths before this crazed loon strikes again?
Time will tell but time is of the essence and this gal must run along..
So do yourself a favor and get yourself a copy! STAT!
Thank you for this amazing read and all those who made it happen!
