Book Review: The Bigamist By Mary Turner Thomson

Keep speaking your truths!

Having dealt with similar I can only say that do to the Goldwater Rule I cannot diagnose from afar but safe to say I agree with the sociopath/psychopath alteration made in this novel.
While I can't say empathically that my spouse of 11 yrs was married, he was a womanizer, he did have women calling me to tell me they were actively engaged, & he did hide his extramarital affairs using adoption papers.
Financial disasters is just one part of this iceberg, the degree of manipulation, the brainwashing, the gaslighting, the love bombing, the hoovering, the mirroring, the projection is all quite uncanny.
It's a whirlwind romance that many need to beware of as these are tell tale signs, the lack of involvement, the lack of interest, the lack of communication or attention to detail such as offering reciprocation and love in these relationships should all be of value.
Those red signs are easily missed as was in my case ergo why I now council others on my FB page The Lost Self Life After Narcissism.
To read more about my own personal struggles follow the links at the bottom of my profile.
Mary, while I know it's not easy to tell your story it's of such value to your readers and those currently in these toxic situations.
I pray you and your family are in a good place today and can rely upon your wholesome goodness, empathy, compassion, and love to get you through these hard times.
This book should be a recommended read for many individuals who find themselves struggling with such toxicity and personality trait disorders.
Thank you to Mary, the pub, NetGalley, and Amazon Kindle for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.

Book Review: "Football's Fearless Activists" By Mike Freeman

Obviously by now we should all realize one thing: This isn't about football, nor the NFL, nor taking a knee but rather it's about ONE MAN.

That man is DT and it's all about his need for incessant attention, adulation, and praise.

In fact, everything this man touches is devalued, destroyed, and discarded so it's no surprise the NFL didn't want him actively involved as an owner but it seems his feelings were dashed and now it's revenge time.

As a survivor of a malignant narcissist for a former spouse I can tell you they aim to literally destroy and will stop at nothing to do so.

Look, when did you ever think you'd see the President of these United States trying to insight riots, using our own military against us, and paying hush money to porn stars much less while married with children?

When did you find a First Lady who took off her clothes for public display while preaching BE BEST as her own family and spouse do the exact opposite with full fledged enablers allowing the GOP to run ragged over our democracy.

I know what these male athletes are worth, I know because my brother and uncle were both college athletes and paid the price in years of pain from those hits.

I assure you this isn't to do with anything other than the benefits towards the supreme leader, the enablers that allow this new norm, and the wealth/power behind it all.

Everything a narc does is done for a purpose which is to the ONE-the chosen ONE.

I feel sorry for those involved especially being on the receiving end of hate, smear campaigns, gaslighting, and manipulation and the only sole comfort I can offer is to VOTE -November.

Thank you to Mike, the pub, NetGalley, and Amazon Kindle for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.

Book Review: "Facing Fear" By Nik Wallenda

Rise above from what is holding you down!

A great insight into a family that has delved into fear, courage, and heartbreak without ever stopping.

It's full steam ahead whether it be walking that tight rope or adjusting to an accident that nearly took 30 lives.

I don't know how this family adjusts to trembles, fear, and shakes on a high wire as I have difficulty just standing on a two foot ladder without my knees buckling.

However, faith, perseverance, love, & determination have helped this man and his family overcome some fascinating challenges.

It's that ability to face fear head on that has resulted in success in many facets of life and Nik Wallenda has shown that fear is not on his radar.

Thank you to Nik, the pub, NetGalley, and Amazon Kindle for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.

Book Review: "The Paris Secret" By Natasha Lester

Natasha Lester has created a magical safe zone in the middle of a pandemic with this lovely takeaway novel that will invigorate your senses causing you to feel every riveting emotion.

This is set in the late thirties time frame in three different locations with several appealing characters that capture every heartbreaking moment of action, suspense, and drama.
It's a love story in the end but one that will cause you to question the bonds of that love, the promises kept, and the sweeping allure of the times.

It was during hostile times during WWII in which we venture out along uncertain circumstances with women's allowance into the Royal Air Force -DENIED!

Yet that doesn't stop Skye in helping the war effort, nor will it alter the story with regards to Liberty her daring sister nor her sister's childhood friend Nicholas.

Each has a story to tell and Kat (current day) Australia follows the trail with her grandmother's gowns that are connected to a powerful friend named Christian Dior.

It's truly breathtaking and creates an allure of traveling with a book without every leaving your home.

Splendid detail. Superb writing. Well written plot.

Loved it all and look forward to the next edition.

Thank you to Natasha, the pub, NetGalley, and Amazon Kindle for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.

Book Review: "The Wife" By Shalini Boland

Some books cause triggers and this my friends was one of them.

It all begins with this lovely wedding between Zoe and Toby who now have two children together ten years later and are about to celebrate the ten year mark of goodness.

No, seriously this reminds me of my own situation in which it would've probably been easier to explain had I been hit in the head but I did enjoy the anniversary pic in the paper for proof of that 50% shared retirement if I can make it to my later years.

I digress, this was meant to be a happy occasion because clearly Toby is not a serial womanizer or a narcissist -RIGHT?

Well, ladies and gents- I bring to you a man that hasn't been quite honest within his past experiences.

In fact, perhaps a bit of reflection is in need.

It seems to be Dina (the sis) is gone. Missing. She might be back...we hope.

I remember when my ex spouse once bought me flowers and needless to say he was so cheap he requested a refund and claimed they were the wrong color and didn't care for the vase.

Funny, because this story also centered upon that loving gesture of a vase but sadly it wasn't a loving gesture that took place.

In fact the alteration of memories is just part of this increasingly heavy plot.

It seems this entire marriage has been 'shattered' -no pun intended.

In fact, the clues are up for debate at the moment but it's between MIA and ...well, it's not good news.

Sometimes, I'm tipsy not because of drinking (as non drinker) nor because of drugs (though the doctors always offer) but because of vertigo.

I wonder if an injection might help in this situation as it seems everyone is just so tense, stressed, and anxiety stricken.

Ahhh...Just what the doctor ordered...now be careful because you never know who is administering this toxic substance but it'll surely keep the peace for a time being.

When, it ends the shitte will hit the fan.

Thank you to Shalini, the pub, NetGalley, and Amazon Kindle for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.

Book Review: "Two Reasons To Run" By Colleen Coble

“Love made you vulnerable--any kind of love.”― Colleen Coble, Two Reasons to Run

A cliffhanger is in the making with this newest piece from Colleen Coble which just entices readers to continue to the third in the series entitled," Three Days Missing" due out in April 6,2021 in this Pelican Harbor Series.

In the meantime we have another daunting process with this couple (Jane/Reid) and their son Will.

Now while there's plenty of inconsistencies and ill informed decisions being made we must remember this is an ARC so they may be hashed out in editing.

With this noted this was a good thriller that kept my interest and had me seeking info on the oil platform crisis in preventing a rig from being sabotaged.

Could the death on the rig have been suicide or a terrorist attack?

Well written with a credible plot gives Colleen Coble another award winning performance.

Thank you to Colleen, the pub, NetGalley, and Amazon Kindle for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.

Book Review: "One To Watch" By Kate Stayman-London

“I'm afraid that you're looking for your next chapter, and I'm looking for the whole rest of the book.”― Kate Stayman-London, One to Watch

Ok, folks here's my issue with all this, ...Why must men and women sell themselves for attention?

I understand the Bachelor and Bachelorette and the side shows are popular but seriously they are craving attention, they are rating bonanzas, and they are strictly for shock and awe value.
I just don't get why anyone would subject themselves to this utter nonsense with men who kiss more women than they can dream in a lifetime in an hour long tv show or whatever format is chosen.

I digress but it's to me cheesy because we are taught hopefully at an early age that we are all made in the image and likeness of God.

We are to love ourselves and our bodies and not flaunt what our momma's gave us.

Why can't we be happy flying solo or at whatever weight we feel comfortable because it ain't that BMI that determines my happiness nor is it the darn scale of horror.

I've not used either and prefer the old way of -if the clothes are too tight- you cut back those cals.

Ok, well anyway this was good but the idea of txt, emails, etc..in the social world rather than a novel format was not my thing.

It took away from the story and made it less engaging and interactive.

Thank you to Bibliotheca for this e-read copy in exchange for this honest review.

Book Review: "Dance Away With Me" By Susan Elizabeth Phillips

Pardon my apologies for not being familiarized with "SEP" as she's become known to her loyal and devoted followers.

This was my first in this category of chick lit, woman's fiction, romance, humor, and more genre with SEP but certainly not my last.

Dance Away With Me struck many chords with me including the birthing section with midwives as I myself gave birth 3x alone while married to a malignant narcissist who we can say was 'busy.' Wink-Wink-Nod-Nod!

If you get my drift then you know why romance isn't my go to genre as you could've walked past this man butt naked w/o so much as a "HELLO" but seriously this was a departure from my norm and was a nice change of pace.

It begins with a widow and a street artist but ends with so much more.

Character development was top notch with superb details especially in portraying the accuracy of the emotions that came flooding through every page.

Tess as we may note probably could've used some TLC or at the very least some therapy on her end to deal with her own grievances but she's extremely busy at the moment.

Meanwhile, Ian is much the same but this forced arrangement is quite intriguing on a wider scale and developed before it all came into play upon this smashing chemistry.

Many serious topics are discussed such as miscarriage, sex ed for teens, depression, and death in childbirth.

However, the author delicately addresses the issues and doesn't simply let them fall into the open without discussion.

I'm very pleased my library had this new work available for the taking sitting in plain sight.

Book Review: "Finding Freedom" By Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand

A great reveal into the life and times of this powerful couple who decided to change up the norm and go with privacy for themselves and their family.

I'm so proud of Henry and his beautiful wife Meghan for doing what they felt needed to be done in order to create a more perfect union for themselves.

His life has been lived in the spotlight for a number of years and he lost his own mother to the paparazzi's incestuous stalking so it's no surprise that her son has spoken out against the insanity.

They should be able to live out their lives how they wish, working and reporting to whom they feel necessary, and without the constant shadow of perfection.

This was a fab insight with illustrative photography to capture those loving, thoughtful, and reflective moments in time.

A wonderful new read by Omid and Carolyn that captured the essence of who they are as individuals rather than as royals.

Book Review: "Un-Trumping America" By Dan Pfeiffer

A wonderful fresh, invigorating, and hopeful alternative to what we now see playing out.

The Democrats are in need of repair and we need it stat as we are on borrowed time with the clock ticking away till November 3rd, 2020.

Please save our Democracy is now our new motto and we need all the help we can get.

As a proud Democrat in the history making location that voted DT into office I can tell you we are at a crossroads in America. An America that has different agendas for different folks.

As you well know DT didn't win majority but did win electoral votes here and it's because of the state of depression, the lack of good paying jobs, the lack of change.
People are tired of the same old game play of 'pay to play schemes', corruption, gerrymandering, court room politics, and more.

We need to hold the GOP responsible for their actions along with their leader and fight them through till the end.

Republicans continue to utilize fear, blackmail, hush money, voter suppression, gerrymandering, court room antics, and demonization of Dems to get their points across.

We need to become more aggressive, we need to prep up the steps to fix our broken system, we need to build up our media infrastructure, and we need to persuade non voters to vote.

We need this in order to save what's left of our Constitution and our Democracy.

The lack of accountability, the above the law scenario, the superiority/egotistical/white nationalist policies don't work for everyone including myself.

I'm a proud divorced single mom of three kids. Divorced from a malignant narcissist who worked in OBP a block from the White House.

He recently switched party from Dem to Rep and made front page news here simply for standing up in the Scranton Fox News Convention.

What's extremely disheartening is what happened to me during my marriage of 11 yrs with gaslighting, manipulation, brain washing, projection, mirroring, love bombing, and the like is now happening to an entire nation and nobody wants to stop it.

Instead we have great talking points, we have wonderful tweets, we have social media gone haywire but we have not definitive plan of action.

In fact in this great county of Luzerne in Northeastern Pa we didn't even have a Democratic office till the other day and today is August 28th 2020.

Why?

We have to stop hiding in fear and work to end this nightmare and work throughout the year thereafter not just upon winning the election.

My word, I know when I dealt with this toxic personality trait disorder that I was in for a huge alteration to the norms.

I learned my lesson the hard way but I can't imagine having so many see this man's actions in the highest office of the land and being enablers to the corruption.

The top 1% love him for obvious reasons including kickbacks, tax breaks, and the like but for the rest of us it's plain hell.

I could go into specifics but safe to say this book provides the answers we need and the reason why we need them.
They must be applied immediately including shoring up the Hatch Act along with our Supreme Courts and making sure we have placed an end to the gerrymandering and voter suppression.

Save our postal service (USPS) and rid the swamp of these elusive actors.

The truth is there's a reason why the devalue and discard is prevalent.

There's a reason why his own niece wrote a book to warn us all.

There's a reason they say trust actions not words.
We must adhere to values, ethics, morality, compassion, empathy, and love.

We must save our democracy and vote.

Book Review: "Collusion" By Newt Gingrich

"What if the Russians really are colluding with Americans...on the left?"

What if we had a country that was divided by hate, racism, and bigotry led by their very own leader?

Well, look no further as we are living this nightmare and it's the new norm.
In this case Newt displays a tale of high speed international intrigue coupled with full blown betrayal and politics.

When a high ranking and very powerful Russian asset needs to be smuggled out it's the Mayberry and Garrett who are put to task as their mission is put to the test.

The test involves a huge risk to life and limb as we engage in congressional infiltration, division, hatred, and leftist protest.

Can they overcome the bickering and hostility to get the job done?

How far will the enemies go to infilterate and ruin democracy as we know it? How big is a threat from Russia?

It's all hands on deck in this one by Newt and Pete.

Book Review: "The Innocents" By David Putnam

If only my library carried more of these gems...

Well, here we have another great read by David Putnam that places corruption, ethics, morality, and the Badge of Honor in the spotlight.

My uncle is a retired state trooper from Philly so I know well how this code of ethics works and I'm also quite well aware he'll do anything to swear that the blue line is the best line.
However, I would never vote for DT -based simply upon a false pretense of Law and Order-and hope others are able to see through the fog, smoke, mirrors, lies, deception, manipulation, and brain washing (to name a few).

I absolutely loved the end notes from the author and hope you read them as it puts a nice touch on the entire book.

The plot thickens with Bruno, his father's criminal charges, and his family life.

It's a mess but in a good way and keeps you on your toes with the suspenseful action that is more based on reality than fiction.

A wonderful new edition to the works of David Putnam.

Book Review: "Outsider" By Linda Castillo

A fellow cop is rescued by an Amish widower while her partner in crime is contacted for help.

This sounds like it's right up my alley (no pun intended) but it left me wanting a bit more.
I wasn't too impressed by the idea that centered around knowing Gina's claiming she was framed for the killing of a fellow cop due to turning them in for wrongdoing.

Now Gina's the one on the wrong side of the fence and Kate is pondering if she truly knew her friend at all.

"A Killer Lies In Wait" ---True, but sometimes looks are deceiving and objects in the mirror are closer than they appear.

The farm is the center of the plot, the drab snow framed mountains take hold, and the frigid temps are just what the doctor ordered but something far worse is on the horizon.

This was a good read but didn't excite my senses as I'd hoped.

Book Review: "Walk the Wire" By David Baldacci

Teacher by day and prostitute by night is just how this story incorporates North Dakota's people while frantically forging new opportunities with fracking -which is anything but glamorous.

I live in Luzerne County Pennsylvania-I've lost friends to fracking not once but twice- anything that deals with this so called 'gold rush' is anything but golden.

With this noted, I will say this book dealt with two different plots.

The first centered upon a deadly love story while the second dealt with this military base being utilized by government employees for personal gain.

This is the 6th in the Amos Decker Series and 5.5 in the Will Robie Series.

I've read numerous books by Baldacci and this one just didn't join up to the level I'd expected and grown accustomed too.

Large guns, conspiracy theories, military precision, murder, prostitution, drugs, and more take the center of the platform.

The race to solve the mysteries surrounding the base using Will, Jessica, Blue Man and more are now in full force.

Hang on tight...

A good read by David Baldacci that could've used a bit more connection between the two dueling stories.

Book Review: "The End Of Her" By Shari Lapena

Is there anything better than reading about a chronic, slut shamed, marriage wrecker seeking blackmail payouts while operating with two different couples on a shoestring?

Well, No! Quite frankly this was perfection and Shari Lapena painted us a portrait that was drab but sure as hell fit the bill.

Stephanie and Patrick have newborn colicky twins and are sleep deprived.
What better time to hit them up with this chronic liars theory by Erica about an affair and possible child in order to get inheritance money.

Oh, did I not mention that's the money from the death of Patrick's first wife who mysteriously died from carbon monoxide poisoning due to snow blocking the exhaust pipe while she sat inside the car.

Lyndsey's friend was Erica which makes this even more troublesome as who does this shiite?
Erica is 31 years old and so you'd think she'd get over herself and find someone else to latch on too.

Now there's another couple feeling the wrath of this woman and by no means are happy about it.

Paying out again as hush money to keep secrets about their son Devin but this time there's a twist and you won't see it coming.

Can you imagine worrying about losing a child much less one to hush money, blackmail, and affairs?

Well, now -rest easy because there's more than one way to skin a cat -just sayin'

Book Review: "The Cutting Place" By Jane Casey

Violence against women is revisited with this new investigative thriller by Jane Casey.

The body of a young woman was dismembered and now DS Maeve is placed on the case to seek justice.

The journalist was murdered but her voice has not been silenced because if you look closely clues seem to 'appear' before your eyes.

Clues that may have at one time went unnoticed if not for the good research, fab investigation, and interviewing skills.

It takes a wide open lens to capture all the butterflies and this truly had some hairy scenes that literally made one squirm.

The gentleman's club isn't quite an upscale location and the dark alleys and party scene lifestyles aren't for everyone.

However, the truth may just turn up in the oddest of places and it's somewhere you may least expect and that's not something that sits well nor is it something we can all drink too.
Sometimes things happen for a reason and in this case it centered around an incident that was worrisome that resulted in death.

Luckily DNA speaks and justice is being served up because there's more than one body and several have gone missing and unanswered.

Will the killer be uncovered?
Will this case be closed?

What the heck did mold have to do with this story that's a cut above the rest...NO pun intended.

I loved the way this blew my mind with unexpected equations that never entered the picture.
Always must remember to be careful on the stairs but this takes it to a new level and the auto immune disorder is just one issue I possess but now I'm wondering about renovations in a whole new light...

May not sleep well but it was sure worth the book lover's excitement to read this thriller.

Book Review: "One Step Behind" By Lauren North

Didn't see this train wreck coming...

Imagine being a devoted wife, loving mother to two kids, career oriented and self fulfilling work as a doctor, and being a victim of stalking.

Hold up...What?

As it turns out Jenna seemed to have it all if you don't mind bizarre messages and gifts being left at her door.

Jenna not only is being stalked but just learned the man in a coma now requires her undivided attention to survive.

OH SNAP!

The fluff in the middle of this didn't work very well for me as the characters including Jenna's hubby was almost near void till some brief mentions of not so flattering light appearances.
Sophie seemed to take center stage mid stream and continued till the end with a bit of hostility, jealousy, and the mix but who knew it would be this way considering she's also Matthew's sister.
Whose Matthew?

Glad you asked-it's the stalker in the coma...

Oh hell yes and by the way we also have an issue with photos and fires and so I'm sworn to secrecy but I will note this was HOT!

Thank you to Lauren, the pub, NetGalley, and Amazon Kindle for this ARC in exchange for this honest review

Book Review: "Road Out of Winter" By Alison Stine

A new world is upon us and with this comes uncertainties, fear, and worries but for Wylodine it also brings hope.

Hope is the connector and she must now make her own way in a cruel, harsh, and depressing world by growing weed.

An extreme winter refuses to let up leading to Spring never arriving, depression forming upon residents, and cults coming out of the rural woodwork.

Icy roads are making things even more dangerous but navigating the roads is much like navigating life.

What better way to accomplish goals than to reach out and take chances by moving to California with her tiny house hooked up to the back of her truck with some grow lights and pumpkin seeds in tow.

The violence, the community apocalypse, the terrors and night sweats are now real as the intensity builds with new misfits withing each new location along the way.

The desperation, the fight or flight, the trauma leads to a life of hard knocks that leaves Wil with an edge and cut above the rest.

It's a fab new read and I'm honored to be able to write this review for the Harlequin Blog Tour.

Thank you so much for this wonderful ARC in exchange for this honest review.

I hope everyone gets a chance to enjoy this new piece by Alison Stine.

Book Review: "A Fool's Gold Wedding" By Susan Mallery

Imagine helping to perform a top secret surprise for a sister's wedding and falling in love with one of the attendees (the brother of the groom).

Did I fail to mention this is a budding romance between a school teacher and a surgeon.

Well, not just any surgeon a really smart, wealthy, and gorgeous surgeon who takes Fool's Gold by storm with his personality and charm.

But wait, it's not just that Joaquin has all this going for him it's the fact that he's kept hush on a huge secret about his career.

Yet, all's well that end's well as they say so why not give it a go and see where the chips land.

While I enjoyed the dialogue it was the lack of luster that did me in as I wasn't as connected as I'd hoped and didn't really feel any sparks fly with this one.

Thank you to Bibliotheca for this e-read in exchange for this honest review.

Book Review: "The Silent House" By Nell Pattison

Imagine an intruder in your home and you're not only not aware of his/her presence but you're deaf and can't hear your own daughter being murdered.

The stakes are higher than ever in finding the murderer but it won't be easy.

Was it an intruder?

Was it someone close to home or to the family?

Could this murder be a stalker still watching their every move?

YIKES!

Nothing could ever bring their beloved daughter Lexi back but the truth is that Lexi may not be the only one being targeted.

Could the murder want another member of the family, was this intentional and deliberate, or accidental in nature?

So many question are posed to confront readers as the intensity builds to the point of no return.
The writing was good and the characters were fulfilling and the ending was unexpected as all eyes turned to young Jackson as a possibility until he wasn't a candidate.
Who is the real killer?

Stay tuned as this is an edge of your seat thriller.

Book Review: "The Unraveling Of Cassidy Holmes" By Elissa R. Sloan

The life and fandom of a popstar with the dark underbelly exposed! Riding high and crashing fast!

This was a glimpse into the life of Gloss -a popular music group-who took the world by storm in 2000 with four members Cassy aka Sassy, Rose, Yumi, and Merry.

It was short lived because in 2002 the group split and something horrific happened.
Cassie was found dead via suicide and the group begins to reflect from their earlier times from the late 90's to present being told by all four girls.

The narration was ok but sadly I just didn't truly connect with any of the characters nor the story as it wasn't colorful but rather dark. The suicide was just the tip of the iceberg as we explore the abuse, the pregnancy, the fire, and much more.

Retaliation, jealousy, hypocrisy and more to get to the top was quite a stunner.

Not quite my thing but it was a good read that kept my interest in wanting to know the conclusion.

Thank you to Elissa, the pub, NetGalley, and Amazon Kindle for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.

Book Review: "Fable" By Adrienne Young

Trust no one. Survival of the fittest. Use what you were taught.

Simple words but after losing your mother it's not easy after her drowning and certainly her father's abandonment hasn't helped.

Fable is now on her own but she's not completely alone.

West is a trader with one job-Help Fable get off the island in which her father left her and get back to her father.

Storms are brewing. West isn't who he claims. The world is mighty and darker than ever thought before.

A great new read with plenty of excitement to entice the senses.

Book Review: "The Ghost Tree" By Christina Henry

Welcome to Smith Hollows -a town full of ghosts, short term memories, zombie like behaviors, and weird and cray cray activities.

Two girls have been brutally murdered in front of a racist old ladies front yard but the newest officer in town believes they were dragged from the woods to the location at hand.

Alex Lopez's racist neighbor is not welcoming to Mexicans so perhaps this is a wake up call -revenge style-killing.

Meanwhile, Lauren whose own father was killed in the woods seems to sadly share a similar modus operandi style with the girls that were found.

It appears to be a supernatural force and David (4 yr old brother) of Lauren may have found some answers all on his own as he feels the eerie senses and so he tells his mother about his premonitions of the murders.

Of course, "Girls are sweet like candy" or so the monster proclaims.

WTH?

Something may be staking out in or near the ghost tree but what, whom, and why is the million dollar question.

Halos, curses, magic, and power...well that about wraps it up.

Joining forces to become one may not be in the cards but putting a ring on it -well....that's not out of the question.

OMG!

If only those involved could get sucked up like an alien to another world...

Wait a second, ....

The id of the killer may have been forseeable but it sure was fun to watch this one build up to the point of cold, dark, chilling, suspense.

Thank you to Christina, the pub, NetGalley, and Amazon Kindle for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.

Book Review: "Will He Go" By Lawrence Douglas

While I agree it may not be pretty it will eventually end as all narcissists that I've been prevy too have self destructed.

The Black Hole and Empty Bottomless Pitt just continues to enlarge yet we know from past experiences that this personality trait disorder will not change unless it's acknowledged, accepted, and held accountable by the individual.

Since, that's not happening anytime soon nor can anyone speak out due to the Goldwater Rule what we're left with is our voices of the American people.

I agree this may be worse than the Cold War and while the ideas posed here bring up great speculation, discussion, and debate the answer lies within.

What will DT do?

The only person who knows that answer is himself.

Having happily divorced a man of character similar to this one I can only note it will get ugly, it will take years, it will require repairing and rebuilding but it will end.

No doubt you can't simply walk away from this scenario and file divorce as I have but you can VOTE and use your peaceful protests to have your voice heard.

While much of what was offered up here already seems outdated with 2020 moving in such fury it is worth noting that you have to stand up and fight for our democracy and our constitution.

Nothing else matters as lives are being lost to Covid and the GOP who enables and supports this tyranny, authoritarianism, dictatorship is in it for the prestige, the power, the perks.

Book Review: "She" By HC Warner

At first I thought it was my asthma acting up until I realized it was my deepest fears triggered by this book.

No, seriously this book will have you on edge so practice deep breathing before you open this baby up.

Now we know all about the smooth talkers, the quick programmers, the swept me off my feet romancers but you may not have met your match with Bella.

Ben- the guy we empathize-as he's had a recent break up with Charlotte-and is on the rebound so why not make it work?

Bella she seemed so perfect! He's so lucky to have her as the story goes...looks can be deceiving.

Hold on a minute, as oh hell no- she's prego?

Ok, well that was quick but look something is off whack here and I'm not sure whose baby this is but it may not be Ben's because once a cheater always a cheater.

Now, Peter is gone too?!

YIKES...Ok, this is going full steam ahead...it's all men for themselves-be cautious.

Peter was in love with Bella and was possibly a DNA match as paternity is in question.

Oh, boy the mid and the ending on this is to die for -LITERALLY!

I guess you could say Charlotte's dad could've saved some huge grief if he just found the courage to tell the truth and admit his mistake.

Kidnapping may be on the agenda, high speed chases on the rise, but in the end someone must die.

I'm so sorry to break it to you but there's no easy way to say this as somebody has got to go.

That letter that Jo uncovered was quite the buzz kill, wasn't it? But who needs to know about it-what they don't know won't hurt them...Carry on!

OMG!! This book is a must read on your TBR!

Book Review: "I Lie In Wait" By Amanda Brittany

Hold on...Let me get a hose...Need to put out the fire .....It's still smoldering!!

It's rare that I find a thriller such as this that captivates me from the beginning and doesn't let up but then in those hotly contested works the ending or mid level usually fall flat. Not here.
Not with these tremendously colorful characters, not with this suspenseful mastery, and certainly not with this ever growing plot.

So, you say Lark is missing ( one year ago) and Amelia must now act to bring her back?...
Amelia's first thought is to go to a Scottish cottage in the middle of nowhere and search for clues but while there she encounters a frightening female scream.
Oh, snap...Perhaps a stalker type is lurking?!

Well, whatever as I'm sure it will be solved with a few drinks or meals thereafter...
I'm sorry what?....

What's up with Jackson?

Well, jealousy and revenge are usually two motives in most crimes but I'm sure this one may just rock your world.

Book Review: "The Man I Married" By Elena Wilkes

Not sure how to rate this one as it left me questioning several of the options put forth.

The Man I married was your typical intelligent female probation officer falls for the man with the plan (psychologist) and sweeps her off her feet as only he can.

Then we have the issue with a sexual offender harassing her by sending pics of the girl he abducted to Lucy. Why did her workplace not help her out?

Of course, bring in the centerpiece for the mantel with the entire gaslighting scenario that made Paul appear insane so insane that it ended up with someone else being admitted into the looney bin.

Yes, and add to this the notion that once in the asylum you must try to escape with the sister or was it the former ex girlfriend, or perhaps the pregnant one who left Paul with the unborn child,...

Wait...Breaking News....Caitlin and kids are dead>Paul to blame>more to come.
Remember the insane asylum well guess who helped Lucy escape...

Oh my oh my...

Look this is crazy with a K so if you're up for it -go for it-
