Book Review: "Tiger Wars" By Al Cimino

For someone who doesn't have access to Netflix - This drama that I kept hearing about surrounding this show and these individuals was the initial draw to this request via Netgalley.

I knew small details about Joe Exotic and Carole Buskin but not as much as what was offered up in the book which was the good part.

The bad part was it wasn't all that interesting to me and I felt like I was meddling in someone's personal issues rather than reading about something interesting and valuable.

The legal battle that ensued wasn't anything that truly was of significance as I felt similar was conducted with these animals in zoos and circuses which ultimately put many out of business.

The entire premise was if these animals were being abused or neglected and not necessarily about earning potential or profit.

It also was a situation in which Carole was operating her own Big Cat Rescue in Florida while Joe Exotic as he was known was operating his exotic animal park in Oklahoma.

It was quite alarming to learn he tried to have her killed and even more mind blowing why these two wasted so much valuable time to bicker rather than tend to each other's own personal and business issues.

Nevertheless, it wasn't something I could get into and therefore felt it was like child play issues with each one needing to be in time-out.

Thank you to Al, the pub, NetGalley, and Amazon Kindle for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.
