While I agree it may not be pretty it will eventually end as all narcissists that I've been prevy too have self destructed.

The Black Hole and Empty Bottomless Pitt just continues to enlarge yet we know from past experiences that this personality trait disorder will not change unless it's acknowledged, accepted, and held accountable by the individual.

Since, that's not happening anytime soon nor can anyone speak out due to the Goldwater Rule what we're left with is our voices of the American people.

I agree this may be worse than the Cold War and while the ideas posed here bring up great speculation, discussion, and debate the answer lies within.

What will DT do?

The only person who knows that answer is himself.

Having happily divorced a man of character similar to this one I can only note it will get ugly, it will take years, it will require repairing and rebuilding but it will end.

No doubt you can't simply walk away from this scenario and file divorce as I have but you can VOTE and use your peaceful protests to have your voice heard.

While much of what was offered up here already seems outdated with 2020 moving in such fury it is worth noting that you have to stand up and fight for our democracy and our constitution.

Nothing else matters as lives are being lost to Covid and the GOP who enables and supports this tyranny, authoritarianism, dictatorship is in it for the prestige, the power, the perks.
