Book Review: "The Ghost Tree" By Christina Henry

Welcome to Smith Hollows -a town full of ghosts, short term memories, zombie like behaviors, and weird and cray cray activities.

Two girls have been brutally murdered in front of a racist old ladies front yard but the newest officer in town believes they were dragged from the woods to the location at hand.

Alex Lopez's racist neighbor is not welcoming to Mexicans so perhaps this is a wake up call -revenge style-killing.

Meanwhile, Lauren whose own father was killed in the woods seems to sadly share a similar modus operandi style with the girls that were found.

It appears to be a supernatural force and David (4 yr old brother) of Lauren may have found some answers all on his own as he feels the eerie senses and so he tells his mother about his premonitions of the murders.

Of course, "Girls are sweet like candy" or so the monster proclaims.

WTH?

Something may be staking out in or near the ghost tree but what, whom, and why is the million dollar question.

Halos, curses, magic, and power...well that about wraps it up.

Joining forces to become one may not be in the cards but putting a ring on it -well....that's not out of the question.

OMG!

If only those involved could get sucked up like an alien to another world...

Wait a second, ....

The id of the killer may have been forseeable but it sure was fun to watch this one build up to the point of cold, dark, chilling, suspense.

Thank you to Christina, the pub, NetGalley, and Amazon Kindle for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.
