Book Review: "The Answer Is" By Alex Trebek

Alex Trebek in my house is a legend. We've spent many our days watching as a family answering the questions posed from the early 80's onward. I never quite could compare to my brothers who magically answered the question before I was finished reading them.

To say Alex is modest is an understatement.

He's not an attention seeker and we love him for that reason. His demeanor is very laid back, thoughtful, and respective.

His early childhood years discussed his family but also his growing up in an area known for pollution and toxic air.

He subsequently received a warm welcome in Canada and began doing radio shows until he was found and requested for game shows.

He notes often that he's a 'host' not a 'celebrity' or 'star' so act accordingly.
Whatever you choose to call him it wasn't just the show but the familiarity, the fun, the excitement that we loved and still love.

He's a good looking man with or without hair and his wife and family are very lucky indeed to be graced by his presence.

We could all learn a ton from Mr. Trebek and we pray for his fast recovery as pancreatic cancer is a battle I know he will win.

This memoir was short, sweet, and to the point and was a pleasure to read.
Some have sad they wish Alex wrote more and was more in depth but he noted he's not as vibrant or energetic as he was in younger days and I for one am just grateful he wrote this to share with his countless fans all over the world.

To be a fly on the wall ---but only a dream!

Thank you Alex for sharing the gift of your life with all of us during these extremely troubling times. What a joy!
