Book Review: "The Unraveling Of Cassidy Holmes" By Elissa R. Sloan

The life and fandom of a popstar with the dark underbelly exposed! Riding high and crashing fast!

This was a glimpse into the life of Gloss -a popular music group-who took the world by storm in 2000 with four members Cassy aka Sassy, Rose, Yumi, and Merry.

It was short lived because in 2002 the group split and something horrific happened.
Cassie was found dead via suicide and the group begins to reflect from their earlier times from the late 90's to present being told by all four girls.

The narration was ok but sadly I just didn't truly connect with any of the characters nor the story as it wasn't colorful but rather dark. The suicide was just the tip of the iceberg as we explore the abuse, the pregnancy, the fire, and much more.

Retaliation, jealousy, hypocrisy and more to get to the top was quite a stunner.

Not quite my thing but it was a good read that kept my interest in wanting to know the conclusion.

Thank you to Elissa, the pub, NetGalley, and Amazon Kindle for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.
