Book Review: "In Defense of Looting" By Vicky Osterweil

Well researched. Informative. A great read for anyone interested in looting by definition but also as defined over time throughout history.

Looting is rooted in slavery and extends into present time frame of white nationalism and suppression.

The only way to get your voice heard is often through use of force 'get in good trouble' as it was known by John Lewis https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/p...
In today's world we cannot sit back and let democracy and injustice fall to the wasteside.

So while I agree this book is important and timely it's imperative to read it, understand it, the history, the corruption, the pain, and follow up with action in terms of voting and protesting.

I don't necessarily agree with looting but I do agree with 'good trouble' and feel it's necessary especially with regard to the coal miners here in Pennsylvania and other situations as we have lost many unions and our voices went with them.

It's a different world than even a few years ago and it'll take a united front to conquer it all.
