Book Review: "Safe" By Jane Adams

"Meet Lauren Sykes. Her whole life, all Lauren wanted to be is safe. But her murderous father has made that almost impossible. Now she’s on the run and fleeing for her life. Her only hope is undercover cop Petra Merrow. Lauren has no choice but to trust her. It’s that or die."

Honestly, I can't add much more to this other than it was slow to build, didn't leave any take-aways, was predictable, and didn't stand out for those who read numerous thrillers per year.

With this noted, it was good not great, it had a few twists, it involves gangsters, rape, forced marriages, and abuse.

All in all it was a book that was the first in the Merrow and Clarke, so I'm looking ahead to what more this author may reveal.

Thank you to Jane, the pub, Netgalley, and Amazon Kindle for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.
