Book Review: "The Good Mother" By Cathryn Grant

'Perfect' Amy meets 'Shameless' Charlotte in this epic dance of danger!

What has attracted these two birds is just that BIRDS! But it's not the living rather the dead and it's more than just two.

Sadly, these two are not seeing eye to eye but rather an eye for an eye!
It's danger and the ones in the bullseye aren't even these two but rather an unsuspecting victim who drank too much while in a hot tub.

Go figure?!

While everyone questions whether or not anyone had a role in this other ladies death these two can't seem to sow their wild oats nor their drama.

Well, here's comes Karma and she's pulling up to the home of one of the ladies acting as a gas meter reader with a major problem in the area.

It's a showdown with survival of the fittest and these ladies can't be tamed until the end.
The ending was superb with a knock down or was it a take down...

Well, however you wish to see it - it was certainly deadly!

That's for sure!

Happy New Year's Eve to all! Get ready for 2020!

Thank you to Cathryn and her pub for this ARC and Netgalley- who's been with me for this wild ride!

Book Review: "Sixty Minutes" By Tony Salter

A great intro to a new author for me who didn't disappoint.

I happened to win an ARC from Goodreads and didn't have a reference to work off of but was pleasantly surprised.

I love the magnitude of each character and the totality of each of their individual circumstances.

Whether good or bad each was able to add to the bulk of the plot which created a unique and utterly thrilling dynamic.

It was riveting and powerful and beautifully framed in words.

I highly recommend this book to anyone wishing to understand diversity, soul, character, and class.

It's remarkable what one book can bring to the end such violence, anger, and animosity that we see today.

A true eye opener with much to contribute to the discussion all readers must have after the conclusion.

Thank you for this wonderful ARC in exchange for this honest review.

Book Review: "First Cut" By Judy Melinek and TJ Mitchell

"Always go with your first impression." "The body never lies."

The dark net comes to light in this fabulous new thriller!

The content is clinically driven right from Dr. Jessie's morgue as she becomes enamored in catching a killer.

She's the new medical examiner whose been tasked with an opiod overdose that winds up opening the flood gates to a host of deaths.

Could these deaths all be connected?

The plot thickens beautifully so don't be quick to judge as you'll miss the M.O.'s and the clues to each individual case which comes together nicely.

There's a word for the "big boy's in action" and this gives that statement a whole new meaning with drug smuggling, body packers, death disguised as accidents, and plenty of dirty cash for each participant(s).

I guess my question is how can one lose a 'fetus?'

It seems several of the women were pregnant so there may be more to this story as the fathers need come forward. STAT!

Don't forget the 'silver bullet' is key but what if the bullet is a number twenty two scalpel?

OH SNAP!!!

Ok, stay calm--Follow protocol-stay focused-specimens can and often do get lost!
So many different cases are in the mix with Rebecca/Emilio having some similarities in death but the question remains- Could her death be a blessing in disguise to her enemies?

Speaking of 'mix' what's up with our main guy Mike as his 'mixture' is sure to turn up plenty of questions...

One thing I noticed outside of this novel is the critical nature of this opiod/fentanyl crisis we now face and the duties of these doctors to be held accountable.

Once they have them addicted they then try to counter with opposing drugs to ween them off what they were initially prescribing.

It's a vicious cycle as profits are bottom line.

Judy Melinek and her husband TJ Mitchell are clearly well versed and knowledgeable of the trade and it was a pleasure to read this suspenseful thriller!

Thank you to Harlequin for this Winter 2020 blog tour experience which was astounding. Thank you to Judy and TJ for their patience having downloaded this ARC in October.

Thank you to NetGalley and Hanover Square for the ARC in exchange for this honest review.
Please get a copy and enjoy this amazing one of a kind mystery!

Book Review: "Carnegie Hill" By Jonathan Vatner

One whole hot mess of family issues, betrayal, failed marriages and relationships which all come to a pivotal point of reconciliation.

Pepper or Penelope is of an age that she's feeling the pressure to have the 'All American Dream' or at least in her parents eyes. Her parents disapprove of her boyfriend Rick after his obsessions with a female client.

Seeking answers to her own problems in her relationship, leads to guidance from Bertie and George who seem the ideal married couple until he was forced to retire. Francis and Carol whom were married fifty years but were troubled with health issues. In fact, the porter and doorman seemed to be her best characters for advice ironically they were uniquely different.

It felt like the author tried to hard to make the characters appealing which altered the flow for me.

This had me all over the place in terms of its plot and central theme.
New characters were constantly being introduced but they truly didn't add much insight and the idea of therapy for a couple newly engaged or whatever was plain nuts.

But the final thing that made me scream internally was the 'hired hand' in Central Park to replay the entire scene that occurred with Rick.

I won't go into specifics but it left me feeling awkward and felt a bit racist since the character portraying the mugger was black and was paid to replay the crime scene leaving both characters with deeper scars.

I just wasn't feeling the whole thing as the back and forth with the names made it confusing and the in and outs of each relationship didn't really jive.

I'm glad Penelope came to her senses and went her own way but for the remainder of the plot I just wasn't overly involved.

Book Review: "No One Is Too Small" By Greta Thunberg

You must admit one thing this young girl has sparked a debate on climate change that may not have even gained traction if not for skipping school and or getting into a twitter debate with DT!

While I agree, two sides to every coin exists as we may not know all of the facts, the truth remains something clearly needs to be done and soon!

It may not be Doomsday or Armageddon but it's important and for those who ignore the problem the problem will become their children's problem and we can't afford to kick the can especially for those already suffering from air pollution ailments ie. asthma, bronchitis, emphysema, etc.

At her age, I was barely making the grades. I wasn't out in the elements sparking a global movement nor receiving the Nobel Peace Prize for my courageous thoughts and actions. Keep in mind she does have Aspberger's Syndrome which hampers her efforts.

With this said, "The real power belongs to the people." In fact, Time magazine made her 'The Person of the Year' headlined as "The Power of Youth."

I think we can all agree to these statements or this one,"Humanity is now standing at a crossroads. What do we want the future living conditions for all species to be like?"
She may be a pint sized sixteen yr old but she packs a mighty punch in getting her voice to be heard and since Greta can't yet vote it's a valiant start in getting focus towards eradicating a long term problem.

"Don't speak of lowering when you need to stop emissions all together!

Currently I reside in a small coal mining town of Wilkes Barre Pa (Northeastern Region).

We grew up with black lung and the like and know the end result in mining coal with numerous lung diseases resulting in death.

Climate change is real!

In the past few years here we've had numerous EF2 tornadoes plus a minor earthquake that rocked my recliner (ironically I thought my son was playing games hiding behind it and pushing it forward).

Upon glancing at some fellow reviewers I noted some extreme heated debates on this subject with some extremely hateful commentary.

Regardless of what side you're on we can all do are part and not become divided on the issue.

This book was a collection of speeches from around the world as she traveled from the UN to the Capitol along with several mass street protests.

The writing was ok but not great however, it's not in the writing but the vision those words convey to the audience.
I recently read where another reviewer felt compelled to use nothing more than negative connotations with anger being the main focus point.

Folks the haters will hate and often times do because they can't compete or feel inadequate. When they are going low you go high!

It's disgraceful that our own president and his family had so much to say against this young lady calling her approach a "marketing gimmick" in response to Time magazine's cover article or DT going off on his tangent about her needing to 'chill' and go see a movie.

I'm certain this comment from DT gained plenty of attention in his own words,"Because I believe in clean air and clean water. Very simple. We have the cleanest air, we have the cleanest water -- cleaner than it's ever been before in our country. (This is a lie.)

I'll leave you with her own words to DT, " “Honestly, I don’t think I would have said anything because obviously he’s not listening to scientists and experts, so why would he listen to me?

“So I probably wouldn’t have said anything, I wouldn’t have wasted my time,” she said.

I hope you enjoy the insight this book brought and continue this important discussion on climate change and global warming.

Book Review: "When We Were Gone" By Kevin Wignall

Premonitions, bad dreams, drug cartel, plane crashes, with remote rainforests....

Holy smokes this was packed with energy and ambition.

The characters were plentiful with Tom leading the way after their plane crashed.

Whether it was laying the dead to rest or fighting off members of the drug smuggling ring it's all good.

The action heated up with the river escapade and that ending ...

Safe to say it's a kill or be killed scenario that will have you holding on for dear life till the finale.

Loved every second of this one!

A great read!

Book Review: "Strike Me Down" By Mindy Mejia

"That what feeds you can also destroy you."

To catch a thief or not --that's the question.

What if the thief was your own spouse? Or a company worker? Or....

"Strength is knowing when to get the F.. out of the way." FIGHT ON!

Enter Nora our forensic accountant who turns up more than missing money and crooked individuals.

She sure as hell writes the wrongs and strikes them down!
Oh, you go girl!!

MINDY this was amazing!

Wait did you just mention an anti-feminist empire known as 'Strike' owned by a kickboxer and marketing genius husband is in the works?

Oh hell yeah and don't forget that kickboxing tournament is sure to rack them up with plenty of money flowing in all directions.

Now, what was this about $20 mill being missing?

Wait, what?!

You know ladies, sometimes things heat up especially when working out--hint-- and so bring in Aaden to comfort us all.

Logan what shall you say on this matter?-crickets?! #UnexpectedConnections
The twist and turns on this one were wonderful with nothing to ponder after it was complete.

After all Parish Forensics is more than just a name ...

In the end, I'd dare say the person being hunted became the hunter!

It's a marketing genius ...and please don't ever apologize for winning!

N~E~V~E~R~

Thank you Mindy and publisher for a fab new read that surely is memorable!

Book Review: "Holly Banks Full of Angst" By Julie Valerie

First impressions might also be last impressions if one's not careful!

For Holly the idea that she can belong among a group of elites might be too much too handle.

With this in mind....

Who isn't anxious these days?

Why with all the parenting decisions one must make and the lack of civility in an unstable world it's a no wonder anyone can fully be labeled 'sane'.

Bring in Holly - an uptight mom of a thumb sucking daughter, a husband who might be unfaithful, and a PTA president whose got it out for her!

Might one wonder on the side what ever happened to her illustrious hard fought film degree and why it's not been utilized to propel her career.

Oh, and dare I say plenty of added drama with THE Primm Neighborhood Mystery SAGA!
Which all leads up to one burning question- Is there such a thing as a perfect MOM?!
Well, as a gal with ADHD who runs on high energy 24-7 (the healthy kind) I can attest to the notion that nobody is perfect but when surrounded by the wealthy and powerful it's good to just keep doing your thing and ignore.

By this I mean my kids attended a private Catholic school. We were left bankrupt, homeless, and without income for over a year. The financial aid was a blessing but some of the rich ones are quite nauseating and comical.

If you ain't driving a SUV , BMW, Porsche -- you ain't nobody!

They will gaggle like geese and the gossip is unbelievable. They will work in sync better than heads of Amazon, and will do what's necessary to see there kids succeed at all costs (even if it means bouncing your kids off the team).

It's a dog eat dog world and this one made the reality that many of us live all the more clearer.

Yes, my former husband also had multiple affairs which didn't help the gossip train but it was also a matter of survival of the fittest and it all came down to the wallet.

To save your sanity don't worry if they walk in front of you and turn their back while you were speaking to that person -- IT's normal behavior!

Don't worry if they run over your lil Civic parked out on the street-Clearly the crazed mom thought she had enough room for the 3 ton SUV that just ran over the top of your car without even a note of apology.

Don't worry if these crazed loons join the local PTA groups for attention or become heads of the sports you love because clearly your kid sucked in their eyes and wasn't worth the energy to be informed they weren't selected for the team.

Besides clearly you enjoyed the fact that the nonstop chatter via group chat was welcomed at all hours of the day and night or else you would've commented and requested to be excluded...

Right? -- Oh wait-- You did request to be excluded oh well ok---we'll just keep you in the group chat anyway so your older cell which doesn't have the exit out feature will ping all day long.

YOU WELCOME!

Oh and my favorite - if you must volunteer- remember your spot can be given away at anytime unbenounced to you- so if you show, and are signed up, and clearly your name is in that spot...TOUGH!

So have yourself a great day...lol oh and you can leave and go home now!
(enter the elusive sarcasm) here...

For those who think this isn't happening --go to a private catholic school as a poor family!
Now pay up and enjoy all the expensive outings we hold all year round!

Donations are recommended as well as volunteering and if you don't pay the fee your kids are excluded ...Happy Holidays!

OMG!! Loved it all!

Thank you to the author for showcasing the craziness daily...We love ya!

Book Review:"If You Tell" By Gregg Olsen

Three sisters bonded in unbreakable and unimaginable horror!

For those who don't understand abuse of all forms (not just physical) please note it's an absolute hell to not only survive but to thrive.

For those who are ignorant of facts it's not just about leaving or closing that door as it's an incidious, manipulative, brain washing technique that renders individuals into a 'flight or fight' response often suffering from PTSD, Stockholm Syndrome, and more.

The tragedy is that the perps often get off unharmed with little more than a slap on the wrist from a broken legal system designed to prevent such flaws. However, high case loads, lack of trained staff, and lack of financial means leaves survivors to seek alternatives.

This is a case in which the abuse suffered at the hands of the parents and those in positions of authority was horrifying and deadly.

It's not without reason to question motives but suffice to say the experts are best left to wonder as these individuals are so toxic they often fool even those with years of professional experience.

The DSM manual is often where you'll find the true height of such illness and disease yet sadly the overused terms of 'narcissism, sociopath, psychopath' are becoming more frequent and resulting in more such cases.

My heart goes out to this family as I grew up with such narcissistic ways as the 'scapegoat' for the past 46 yrs and married into the same situation I left.

It's a vicious cycle and one that without proper support, guidance, love, empathy, nurturing, and boundaries can become a dark bottomless pit.

It's worth noting the author did a remarkable job at setting the tone, the danger, the illusion of freedom that was often fleeting to those who sought its path.

That illusion of freedom is often what results in death because that one sudden move to leave is the most dangerous resulting in a trigger of emotions for the perpetrator.

They want to be in power, in control, in charge of every emotion that the survivors feel.

The sad part of the entire situation is many on the outside don't understand why they don't flee for their lives and it's because so much is at stake beyond what you see before you.
There's many reasons why those in similar circumstances cannot simply 'walk away' and a better solution is to ask why the abuse occurred not why one couldn't escape.

The reality is even if one does manage to escape the damage is already done and it will take years to recover and rebuild.

I pray this book opens up dialogue about domestic violence and abuse especially with regards to those personality trait disorders found on the DSM manual.

I pray for all those in those situations and note they are never alone nor to blame.
Please know help is available for those who need it.

Thank you to the author and publisher for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.
It was heart rendering to read and even more troubling to have to endure.

Survivors- Remember you are warriors, thrivers, and have a light that shines bright! Follow your heart and pave the way in letting others know they can survive and thrive! Never be afraid to tell your story!

Book Review: "Bitch That Trump" By Dan Michaels

While I respect the author and the effort put forth it just wasn't for me.

I'm a Democrat and voted as such in the last election with the majority.

Sadly, when we were left with toxicity I questioned how it was possible so many intellectuals could be duped.

This lead me to this book in which the moral compass was far right and ignorant of the laws of our great nation including in protecting our democracy and our very own Constitution.

To this day I wonder what were they thinking but find myself answering that question for them having successfully divorced a malignant narcissist after an eleven year marriage while attempting to co-parent three teens with one.

So, I get the gaslighting, the smear campaigns, the empty promises, the fool's gold that appealed to the masses yet it is a dangerous precedent to allow it to continue while ignoring the developing facts and past that speaks volumes.

I do hope our nation comes out stronger similarly in fashion to the survivors of such abuse but I worry we are headed down the wrong direction of history.

God Bless the USA!

Book Review: "The Country Guesthouse" By Robyn Carr

Moral of the story there's nobody whose perfect so don't die trying!

I love this book and the characters so much that I think we should all go in search of finding Sullivan's Crossing...Whose with me?

The dilemma is such that you feel every heart pounding action when Hannah is faced with caring for a friends young son Noah after her sudden passing.

She always said she should anything happen this would be the result so no going back now.

Now, ladies there's another heart stopper in form of Owen who has his own trauma from the past to overcome.

Can these two find a common ground while dealing with the trouble that's about to bowl them over?

This was superb writing and can't recommend this one enough!

Go, run, get a copy!

Book Review: "Bitter Falls" By Rachel Caine

Bitter Falls gives a whole new meaning to the term 'enemies among us.'

Wow!

What a splendid read with fascinating split level narratives between characters with a plot that's on fire.

It's a who dun it with a twist as this one involves a religious cult and two of the Proctor family members who must be saved by the others.

Now, remember there's plenty of time to wrap up the threads at the end so don't go in worrying about how it ties together -as it's seamless.

This cold case is something but with Gwen on it how can you go wrong?

If you've not read prior works it's safe to say the Proctor family is not well liked in this town and surely they have garnished some haters.

So, just sit back and relax! This is one heck of a read for the thrillers out there!

Book Review: "Ten Days Gone" By Beverly Long

"They know exactly when he’ll strike… They just have to find him first."

Four women dead. Four women with zero connections. Four women in 40 days only 10 days apart.

My word, we have a serial killer on the loose with nothing to go on for these two veteran detectives.

However, one thing is for sure--He'll strike again!

He must be stopped and at all costs as lives are in peril.

First, there's a glimpse into the direction with Tess who is detached from the danger she's in and oblivious to what could be going down around her.

Tess's past trauma has left her cold and distant but A.L. and Rena must find her and perhaps save her from the madness.

Time is running out and another woman's life is on the line.
It's do or die time....

A great read for thrillers with a special focus on police procedures that was absolutely splendid.

This first book in the A.L. McKittridge series was spot on perfect.

Book Review: "Forged Through Fire" By Mark D. McDonough

"My scars remind me that God leads the way; I just need to remind myself to let him.

"What a remarkable death defying story that is truly worthy of every accolade imaginable.

While I've never had such an experience, I do have a close friend who endured the pain and torture of skin grafting and numerous surgeries and the claw like fingers with thick scarring over the hands.

She and her family also were severely burned over most if not all of her body but the beauty is in her courage to continue on and I'm sure this author feels the same.

It's not what held you back but what propels you forward you're all just so blessed in the arms of God.

There can be no explanation as to the 'why me' but there's a reason as to 'the messenger and the message.'

I'm so honored to have read this book that discussed everything in fine tooth detail while wearing your heart on your sleeve.

The hardships have forged a stronger person indeed and we are lucky to bear witness to such.

No more concealing clothes...this statement struck me to the heart as my best friend endured the daily struggle to fit in and belong. I used to tell her she was beautiful inside and out but could never force her to understand that beauty is within.

She was so self conscious -constantly re-adjusting her makeup- her hair style- her clothes and jewelry to never show a scar.

Yet it's those very scars that made her and you who you are today!

May God Bless All who are in similar circumstances as the pain is unbearable but remember that the journey is worth it.

Thank you for sharing your pain and hardships and addressing something near and dear to my heart!

With all my love to you and yours...

Thank you for this amazing ARC in exchange for this honest review.

Book Review: "A Week At The Shore" By Barbara Delinsky

Ahhh the memories! The power of a first love! The ties than bind!

I love a great book that is stationed by the shore and this one didn't disappoint with the beauty, brawn, and thrills beyond belief!

It was a tragic accident when the girls mother fell overboard while with the father or was it?
Many dispute the claims including the two sisters and now are headed back to the location for answers.

What if they get more than any of them bargained for after all blood may be thicker than water?

This brought to mind that mysterious case with Robert Wagner and his wife and the circumstances surrounding it all. For those who are old enough to remember; it was 1981; in which Natalie Wood drowned off Catalina Island at forty three years young while Robert now 87 happily moved on.

I digress, three young women are now left wondering about that night in Rhode Island including Mallory -running from that scandal - that left this family torn and tattered.
Can this family ever find closure?

What about the neighbor Jack, how will his hand play in all of this, and what if anything can he contribute?

What about the daughter Joy? Will she uncover the father she longed for 13 years later ?
A great read with an interesting twist.

Thank you for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.

Book Review: "American Rebels" By Nina Sankovitch

A fab new read that discussed history in a way never before seen with a wide eye appeal to fanning the flames of the Revolution.

Three families embark on a journey through the most tumultous of times in which their strengths grew stronger against the Crown and Parliament.

These families witnessed so many trials and tribulations as well as horrific times in history such as the Boston Massacre, The Battle of Lexington and Concord, The Siege Of Boston and so much more.

What resulted was the desire for independence, liberty, and stability and surely opportunity for all.

This small town of Braintree was the central focus with Massachusetts being front and center on this map.

It was quite unique but for me it didn't capture my attention as other history books.

I felt it was well written and obviously well researched and hope it all finds you well.

Book Review: "Flipping ADHD on It's Head" By Jim Poole

We live in a world in which there's a pill for everything that ails you but sadly, we also are now addicted to those same pills meant to cure us.

We must start first with plain old listening to our patients and not trying to diagnose everyone with problems and medicating them to the hilt.

Now I grew up being told I had ADHD and was recommended to be put on meds. I had a mother who yelled more than stressed what the doctor stressed here with empathy, compassion, concern, and love.

This would've went a long way in my own treatment as I never felt understood nor had that familial supportive system.

In fact, it was quite the opposite when I didn't bring home those 'A's like my brothers until my later years in college.

Yes, I mention this because as Jim Poole noted it's not a death sentence and shouldn't be introduced to the very young as such.

I'm almost 47 years young this May and I have obtained a dual masters while always running in high gear.

My father is very much the same in which he never shuts down.

It's in our blood and made worse by the exact issues noted in this book such as sugars and carbs and lack of exercise.

I have noticed the correlations to all the above and the ability to re-channel that high energy.

Today I read over 1k books a year as an unpaid trade blogger and reviewer seeking full time work. Previously, I raised three kids for the past 18 yrs as stay at home mom and yes, always on the go to this day with teens in three schools and I'm the only driver.

In the past I worked as a material handler as top producer in two departments and associate of the month having the highest stats in both departments.

Now, I can't imagine why this is ? ....

If you can learn to channel it productively, efficiently, and safely you'll be fine.

Oh, and don't eat too many Snickers bars (they are always my downfall).

A great read that describes the in's and out's of those with ADHD and how to be turn a 'disability' into a 'strength.'

Book Review: "F*CK NO" By Sarah Knight

Pleasantly surprised!

Having a strict upbringing I was initially put off by the title as it's a bit 'in your face' and 'loud' but you should truly never judge a book by its cover.

This was quite a unique take on an old problem in which for women (mainly) have a hell of a time saying,"NO."

We often are the do all gals who have to be in control many of us suffering from that common issue of people pleasing and conformity to not wish to ruffle anyone's feathers.

Heck, we forgot the labels if we do speak out - who wants to be the Biggest Biotch- if they do simply say -NO with gusto!

So I get the point however in this case Sarah expands that concept to include boundaries and self reflection and the need to prioritize while staying true to self.

We lose a part of ourself when we become the puppet and not the master of our own ways.
Our self confidence, our courage, our talents become held back and forfeited by going along to get along.

If you're an overachiever you know where I'm coming from especially those who must have all their ducks lined up in a darn row!

I see ya and I know what's like to be married to an arse who takes your work for granted and only has the occasional weekend connection (yes, how else would an 11 yr marriage work?!) or the 2 second call in to make sure you'll still alive while tending to the kids . Yes, it's toxic with a malignant narcissist - so ladies I get it!

I also know how it feels to completely become absorbed into someone else's world and lose a sense of your self in that bottomless black pit of nothingness - losing so much precious time- you can't get back.

So, instead of feeling bad just do it! Like NIKE!

I recently had a situation in which I was up to my neck in drama and events. I'm a single mom of three teens with one car (enter sympathy here) and exhausted trying to do it all daily especially in extreme poverty and after being left homeless and bankrupt without a job due to raising a family solo.

I'm trying to re-enter the workforce but my health has faltered so it's a constant struggle and my ex spouse (aka the malignant narc) and I are in court every year or so; and this time it's for his contempt of court after he failed to repay our kids educational funds. However, the point is we are all busy and need time to rest and relax. I never get that; never a day off; as there's never a day the kids don't need me.

So, imagine here comes the cheerful PTO mom's and worse they immediately hook you up with group chat (Oh, Goodie).

Now folks, I've been in and out of hospitals, lawyers, doctors, dentists, 3 kids in 3 schools, ya get my drift?

What could be better than not only getting those annoying txt's at 1030 pm about your kids school being in the spotlight for having some loon threaten to blow it up the day before ?
Well, of course having these rich moms parade around on private school property while annoying the heck out of ya with group chats.

Now, I'm all for the sharing of the love but not when suffering a collapsed lung, hacking up furballs with possible COPD, with 20 yrs of med problems that've been kicked down the road until now.

The last thing I want is these cheerful over the top needy ones to be txting about parties and social events round the clock while my phone is going off like an alarm clock.

I begged them to exclude me, even went so far as to politely ask to not put me in group txt and my phone is a Samsung S5 (yes I'm that poor) and I can't remove myself after you include me.

UGHH! So the mom notes to send a dm if you don't wish to be included after of course you're included! WHAT the F... NO>>>>>

Well, here's food for thought -- Why not ask before you include?
JUST SAYIN!

I have no problem saying NO in fact I'll flavor it up if you don't understand me the first time and say,"Geez,Remember when I sent that email asking I not be included?! Can we not honor that agreement?"

Sometimes if you must be direct and specific do it as some are just nauseatingly stupid and ignorant as they truly believe everyone is having the time of their lives and many of us are struggling to simply get by especially those of us locked into poverty seeking work since 2010.

So, if you must say NO do it and don't ever regret it.

It's your right to do so!

Thank you to Sarah Knight for this interesting read as it was a change of pace for me and was exactly what I needed to read while snuggled in front of my fireplace on Christmas Day!

Book Review: "The Fire and the Darkness" By Sinclair McKay

The most eye opening historical piece of nonfiction- The Bombing of Dresden- was very informative, descriptive, and accurate.

The world may not have known just how much was at stake during WWII and the end result of these strikes became what was known as questionable actions and behavior on the part of the US Army Air Forces which killed an estimated twenty five thousand people.

Was it a 'war crime' a 'terrorist act' or was it something far more sinister?

Ultimately, one must question whether or not the attacks were justified?
