Just what the doctor ordered ...No, literally I grabbed this and fell in love within the first fifty pages at the doctor's office.
The Starless Sea is a superb thought provoker, where stories come from, as all endings are beginnings and vice versa.
The imagery, the magic, the characters, the feeling of being lost yet found .....
It was so darn good that I honestly don't know where to begin this review.
There's a forgotten city, a ship, a library, a crown, a feather, and the elusive owl king.
It's all in here and folks it's on fire HOTTTTT!
A fortune teller's son -Zachary- is searching to find someone or something that's long been lost and or forgotten much like himself.
Will it be found in books, within his own story, or among the host of characters such as the innkeeper and the pirate?
Can the puzzle pieces of his life fit together using the various clues that he's been given?
The clues are the bee, the key, the sword which leads to a secret club in NYC, a masquerade party, and a library.
Guess what?
Those doors are everywhere leading to the underground which leads to lost cities and seas.
Those doors are lovers hearts written on paper and slipped underneath.
Those doors are the voices of those long past forgotten.
Throughout the journey Zachary makes friends and loses enemies but each brings with it inspiration and advancement in his own personal way.
"What's the difference between Fate's heart and a heart belonging to Fate?

The answer may just be shocking!
See where weird may take you.
Look outside the box.
Follow your heart!
Bye, for now....Till we meet again!
