Book Review: "The End of White Politics" By Zerlina Maxwell

"Democrats haven't won a majority of the white vote since 1964."

"Successful women have to go above and beyond polling in double digits, in addition to having lived the equivalent of three careers before getting taken seriously as a white male with a fraction of the experience they have."

This my friends is the problem with today's democracy -we have people making decisions who haven't experienced the 'hard knocks life' yet feel qualified to speak on our behalf.
We have so-called-leaders who forget racism, gender bias, generational bias, and class division exist on a scale never before seen.

Bigotry, hatred, white nationalism all of it has got to go if we are to become united.

We cannot think that 'dummying down America' is the answer to getting a 'reality star' into office.
We don't need more of the same we need a change for the better.

Those who voted for DT are lower educated, grew up in system of white supremacy and racism, and are used to economic anxiety from living in poor white communities that are in despair.

This fear of the unknown, this preying upon emotions, this lack of inclusion with people of color, is what is destroying our nation.

Rather than voting suppression we should have more educated and qualified individuals to run these campaigns and field calls for service.

We need more diversity in these campaigns and more people who have lived such lives into government positions.
To stoke fear, division, and hatred utilizing discontent is not the America anyone wants to have.

Lets get back to basics and start fresh.

We need to discuss as Zerlina notes: Income inequality, injustices, voter suppression, division, and class identity to name just a few.

Women and people of color according to Zerlina Maxwell hold the power.
It's up to all of us to now do our part& VOTE!

Thank you to Zerlina, the pub, NetGalley, and Amazon Kindle for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.
