Book Review: "Someone Like You" By Karen Kingsbury

What can you do when you uncover that your entire life was one big lie?

You of course, go into an introspective world in which you start to examine everything with a fine tooth comb.

The detective process leads to another family and not to Brook and Peter -the family Maddie- always felt was her biological parents.

Now, it's a new discussion that emerges one that centers upon the idea of adopted embryo's & as a Catholic this was quite an interesting discussion.

Needless to say, it was predictable, but unexplored territory in which readers where left wondering what happened to Maddie's new job, why would anyone be chased for ten years by one man, what's up with Dawson (really?), and why were the characters plunged together without any back information or explanation.

While it fell into place with the tidy bow in the end it didn't feel real and for that I have to give this a lower rating.

Thank you to my local public library for this edition of the curbside pickup read.
