Book Review: "The Daughters of Foxcote Manor" By Eve Chase

"Baby Forest" is a sight to behold, helpless in the forest, till the Harrington's take her in...

Rita and Sylvie are the main characters in this enriching plot that develops methodically yet creeps like the squeaky staircase that winds up to the highest rung.

It all centers upon Foxcote Manor and its co-habitants as this was the Harrington's second home for Jeannie and Walter and their two children Teddy and Hera.

Luckily they hired Big Rita as their nanny so that Jeannie could become better acquainted with Walter's best friend Don. Hint!

Ok, so the second issue revolves around Rita who's recently separated from Steve with daughter Annie.

Annie knows all too well about the past as memories begin to surface.

The duo timeframe works well for Rita, Hera, and Sylvie as they extend the pieces to this mystery-piece by painstaking- piece.

The relationship and soul connection between Rita and Robbie was very alluring and appealing as the Forest is part of both of them.

The tension builds, the characters perform magically, some of the characters you love to hate, and upon wrapping up it all seems to slide into place.

Finding one's birth parent is of upmost importance and I'm thrilled this book places the adoption process and or abandonment discussion at the top of the list.

Thank you to Bibliotheca for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.
