Book Review: "Every Kind of Wicked" By Lisa Black

This was one of those times that I wasn't feel up to par but slugged through because Lisa Black is one of my favorite authors and I admire her work.

It took two tries to complete because as many of you may or may not know I have a computer diagnosed blood disorder (HUS) with severe anemia, and several other issues, too many to mention and when it acts up it's rough.

Needless to say all good things come to those who wait and I'm so glad I was able to finish this one even if a little later than I'd hoped.

Maggie is our main gal here a forensics expert that coupled up with Detective Jack.

Her ex husband  Rick is part of this equation as two individuals have been killed and there's one connection to the killer.

The path is long, it's windy, it's full of off shoots that keep readers guessing who -dun-it.

It's a great police procedural/detective piece that highlights many legalities and the tracking done of a check casher whose getting rich but may not survive long enough to tell about the scheme.

It's a thrill to find out how the aspect of licensing and drugs tie into this new realm.

Meanwhile, the guy who thought Jack might be connected to the serial killer has lost his life and for a time many questions were raised as to who played a part.
Could Maggie have wished him dead, could she have done him in herself, and what about Jack's involvement if any?

My word...this was spot on superb writing that draws you in from the first page and refuses to let up.

Thank you to Lisa Black, the pub, NetGalley, and Kindle for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.
