Karin Slaughter.....I see you!! That was fantastic!
What's not to like when Karin is behind the wheel both literally and figuratively in this newest piece the second in the Andrea Oliver series.Learning to fly and spreading those wings is the end game. However, to get there you must fall down more than a few times.
Life isn't easy for these ladies and gents especially around prom night. Hell, we've all been there except me ( I wasn't into dressing up /tomboy at heart) however, Emily Vaughn seemed to be the life of the party. One of the cool kids! A gal you'd like to get to know better and spend some quality time.
This ain't rainbows as we learn upon uncovering she's been murdered.
The story rotates through timelines (past '82/present) with both holding their own quite well for readers.
The key is to not lose sight of the prize. The ultimate goal. The reason we're all searching for answers is to uncover the reasoning behind Emily's death.
Karin Slaughter enjoys spotlighting important topics within her characters debt and this is no exception in Girl, Forgotten.
At the ripe age of eighteen, partying with friends, and hanging out could lead to some things. Some terrible consequences to the iniation process as some like to call it. To prove you're cool you must do some things to excite the base.
Folks, this girl may have been drugged but the culprit ain't answering important questions.
Not yet, but he/she must face the heat because the justice hammer is falling hard and fast.
Hiding isn't an option, running won't get you far, and lying your arse off will only make the hole you're digging bigger!
Come clean...
Nick, Clay, Jack, Star Bonaire,...
Oh, wait a second...Judith Rose has arrived?! Ok, things just became exponentially real!
Hold up...Eric Blakely has a what..?
OMG! Clay is best bud's with Jack but hot damn what are we bearing judgement too?
I'm not so sure I can spill anything else but I'll tell ya what- Go out and get a copy!
Drugs, drinking, sex, abuse, and danger is lurking everywhere and I can't help but hope someone comes out unscaved!
Perhaps it's wishful thinking or perhaps someone is flanning the flames! Psycho's are watching--time to run!
