Book Review: "Just The Nicest Couple" By Mary Kubica

Mary Kubica nailed it! A superb craftsmanship of spine-tingling action, suspense, & intrigue!

Rich with detail, full of suffocating dilemmas, and served up on nothing less than mom's classic china!
Hot damn!

I love when the matriarch isn't just there for fluff but actually plays more of a 'critical and engaging' role.

What truly goes on behind closed doors is a question that is very relatable for those of us who were abused or even for those who have knowledge of someone else in this particular toxic relationship.

We have two power couples in this one : Nina/Jake Hayes and on the other side of the ring is Lily/Christian Scott.

These 4 in essence are the power grabbers after Jake goes missing.

In fact, everyone seems perplexed with something to hide and nobody seems to want to come clean.
Blood doesn't easily rinse off from clothes so going to the cleaners ain't an option but we don't truly know what happened to Jake.

The bread crumbs lead us to some shiny jewelry, some possible affairs, some heated verbal discussions, and might I say some off the chart explanations to where Jake might have gone.

While I did figure out that there won't be an extra table setting at the next dinner party (enter sarcasm lightly) I did learn that Lily and Christian have finally settled the score.

One got off, one got an eternal gift that will connect them for life, and well who cares about the rest.

No, seriously, Jake might be the narcissitic egotistical here but I've had that myself after 11 yrs. and I wouldn't wish harm.

Many revieweres felt Jake got what he deserved but in the end perhaps the grass wasn't always greener.
With some help from close family and friends I'm sure that Nina will carry on just fine. Unfortunately, the family dynamic might have been strained but that's to be expected.

All's fair in love and war!

Till we meet again!
