Book Review: "Beyond Charlottesville" By Terry McAuliffe

As a survivor of DV&NPD I have to take a stand with the survivors who were present and not watching the action play out from afar.

Those on the front line fighting against white nationalism, hatred, bigotry, racism and more.

I have spent over 18 yrs involved with a malignant narcissist (married 11 of those yrs) with three kids together. I know how the game is played. I know how the shame, the blame, the guilt trip works upon those seeking to simply live in peace and harmony.

So when I first read this I immediately thought to myself why did he not do anything? Why wait to see what 'DT' might say about it. Why check it out from a window and not be down in the heat of it resolving it.

Now I know why after reading the reviews of my fellow survivors....who spoke more eloquently and real than anything I read in this book.

Truth hurts but truth will set you free.

Tell your story and never back down in remaining silent.

What those who've not experienced abuse don't understand is it's all about power/control. It's a mind game. A manipulation. A way in which to silent the masses.

To get ahead they trample upon the rights of others to make a quick buck and win over the views of those who are not angelic but attempt to portray as such and those of us who have lived it can see through the smoke and fog.

Blaming the President and talking but not acting is pretty much the same we've come to know as the 'new norm' but those of us who want and need change know that talk is cheap.

We watch actions not words!

Living in fear, constant fight or flight, and nonstop paranoia is not a way to live.
This is 2019!!! We need to wake up not talk a good talk!

Proactive not Reactive!
Transparency in government not Photo ops!
Action not words!

Go....
