Cassie is on the run from her abusive father and seeks comfort in serving others.She joins the union army under disguise as Thomas and runs into a photographer on the front lines named Gabe.
What's interesting about all this is that Gabe can't stop thinking of Cassie...
His feelings for her are evident but for me there was something lacking in all this romance something that just didn't draw me in as I'd hoped.
Will Gabe and Cassie eventually become that item and leave their own demons behind for a chance at love?
The writing style was fine but it just didn't capture my heart the way I'd hoped but that's what is great about variety being the spice of life.
