Book Review: "A Predator and A Psychopath" By Jay Kerk

When rating books there's the plot and the execution and for me the latter fell short.

While I have knowledge in this subject matter as a malignant narcissist survivor of a psychopath I don't believe that swayed the feeling that this was ultimately between a 3-4 star review.

The problems I had with this was the title as it's ambiguity leaving readers wondering is this one person with two personas or two different individuals Jason and Jerry respectively.

I married and happily divorced a character like the ones explained here and I assure you he never spoke of himself or others in first person. He was always detached and treated others as if they didn't exists as figments of the imagination. Or as one suggestion recommends: "First, You let the protagonist referring to himself/herself as the third person."

The second issue I had was the sexual innuendos and graphic detail with Jerry our sex deviant.

It was a bit overblown and had forced me to skim over because it was too much to take in all at once.

While the plot with Jason being accused of having sex with his daughter and possibly killing his wife was subjective to readers it was hard for me to get into the feel of it all.
It left me wanting more and for me the ending left me pondering what might have been or could have been.

Plenty of talent here but the loose ends were hard for me to overcome.

All in all it was a decent read and would entertain reading another by this author.
