Having never read Tom's work prior may have put me at a great disadvantage here as Secret Service seemed to center upon past characters.
For me I couldn't connect to Kate who is in charge of the Russia Desk at M16 or her husband who is a political aide to a high profile minister.
In this case we have a Prime Minister about to step down that's been intercepted through tip offs and the newcomer may just be a Russian Asset or Mole.
Everyone is under suspicion including her own husband, herself, and her powerful insiders.
Guessing who the traitor is wasn't very difficult but for me I just felt out of my element.
For those familiar with Tom Bradby this may rate much higher with a more familiar background.
