The title may be called Gretchen but it's more about 15 yo Lucy and her mom who are real life nomads in hiding from the past horrors that seem to follow them.
The main goal is to hide well enough to not let Lucy's father find them.
In the meanwhile they take up hiding in rural NH with Gretchen and her single dad.
Gretchen is quite the character being domineering yet odd in her unusual obsession with puzzles.
The plot twists will have you screaming out WTH as you continue to flip pages.
One thing is for sure someone may have to answer to their behaviors and quick
before danger is upon them all.
A wild one full of suspense, mystery, and chills all around.
