Book Review: "The Wilder Girls" By Rory Power

There was so much to like for this book yet there was also some touch points that I'll address.

First I love the premise and idea of the Raxter School of Girls to be located in Maine 2 yrs after the 'Tox' has been uncovered.

The CDC has been on this case seeking a cure alongside the US Navy.
The notion that symptoms and flare ups change with the seasons sounds quite alluring and mysterious.

As for the downers there was plenty of fluff but not enough action. It seemed like midway we as readers were waiting for the action to begin.

Teenage antics seemed to take over the book with back and forth bickering and break ups rather than a relationship built upon substance.

What you must note when reading is not to try to play the detective to uncover the answers behind it all but rather to enjoy the fact that it's about portraying females in a powerful light.

All in all it was a good summer read for 2019!
