Book Review: "A Gambling Man" By David Baldacci

“How can you frighten a man whose hunger is not only in his own cramped stomach but in the wretched bellies of his children? You can’t scare him—he has known a fear beyond every other.”

Plenty of brothels, drug ops, gambling dens, and this little thing called, "corruption".
Surely, there's blackmail on the horizon and more deaths to behold but first we must endure the Midnight Moods and a politician running for mayor. Ruby Fraser (singer at burlesque club) isn't the only one having to pay a high price for notoriety.

We also have a relationship with Archer and Liberty which picked up steam near the end.
This was a long and drawn out process to get there but it was a good and solid entertaining read.

Thank you to my local library Osterhout Free Library for this hardcover during the Curbside Pickup.
