Who takes a five year old child to play hide and seek in a corn maze?
WTF?Ok, well I'll try not to let my anxieties get in the way here but seriously this newest work by Robert Dugoni had high cringe worthiness.
In her tracks has plenty of police procedural activities, high suspense, non stop character rotations and dare I say plenty of victims and or survivors.
It's key to not always claim 'victim mentality' because as survivors and thrivers we live on to tell the story after being silenced.
In this case we have several individuals who fit this bill.
We wonder if the past is coming back to hunt us.
We sit in amazement watching this one play out as there's numerous characters and terrible consequences from rapes, to captivity, suicide(s), to physical and or sexual abuse.
I've said it before but it needs to be repeated-For the love-Don't go down into the basement. Just keep the darn door locked. OMG!!
Ladies, make sure you know that when a guy says he's 'busy all the time' you check that crap out. Is he really hunting? Is he really working long hours?
You get my drift...
Ok, I'm on to my next read. I enjoyed this gem and hope you find this review to your liking.
Thank you to Robert Dugoni, the pub, NetGalley, and Amazon Kindle for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.
