Book Review: "Never Far Away" By Michael Koryta

Michael's books are like a glass of fine wine- it gets better with age and becomes more dynamic with each tweak of the pen.

Never Far Away was another heart stopping thriller that kept me glued upon the main character and her charades.
Leah Trenton aka Nina Morgan is at the helm steering this ship off course after witnessing a violent crime as both a wife and mother.

Ironically, a hitman has been hired to track her down named Dax Blackwell and he's hot on her tail.

She under the guise as Aunt Leah to her kids but heck, her own attorney was just killed so it may be time to pay the piper (if you get my drift).

As we hang on grasping for straws we encounter so many hidden traps and treacherous terrain that it reminded me of Meryl Streep in the '94 movie, The River Wild. I didn't know which direction to look at next as it became more and more appealing to all the senses.

Hey, I know one thing- this lady got guts! She's also a woman on a mission. You'll be damned if you double cross her.

You know speaking of that this also reminded me of Toby Keith's famous song- Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue song...'Cos we'll put a boot in your ass, it's the American way. Hey, Uncle Sam put your name at the top of his list, And the Statue of Liberty started shaking her fist. And the eagle will fly and it's gonna be hell, When you hear Mother Freedom start ringing her bell. And it'll feel like the whole wide world is raining down on you...."

Ahhh! This was heaven!

Thank you Michael Koryta, the pub, NetGalley, and Amazon Kindle for getting me out of this awful reader's slump for the past few weeks.

This was the perfect treat to start my week off on the right foot.

I highly recommend this newest epic thriller!
