Book Review: "The Third Grave" By Lisa Jackson

Three graves-Two skeletons!

Alrighty then...We're off and running with this one.

Nikki Gillette is our leader and takes the limelight away from her husband on this case.

In fact the case is fascinating with the Duval sisters. According to the prologue, "three young girls who went to the movies with their older brother, Owen, twenty years ago, and never returned. Forensics confirms that the remains belong to Holly and Poppy Duval. But where is the youngest sister, Rose?"

Now, imagine that 'affairs of the heart' conquer lost souls and you might just have met your match.

This is a wild, hairy, and scary development as we try to piece together these clues that seemingly come out of nowhere involving additional characters not previously mentioned.

It's always good to check with those closest to the subject matter in any missing case situation and this is no different.

I love the way this played out with the constant dragging of details to lead us on this scavenger hunt of sorts and the conclusion with the charges being filed.

When the cats away the mice will play and that leads to a jumbled family mess.
The ghosts may still haunt this place along with the young man.

My only issue is in reading this it felt weighted, heavy, and too concrete in details. It was tedious to read but the writing was superb so I'm overlooking the heavy feeling.

Thank you to Lisa, the pub, NetGalley, and Amazon Kindle for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.
