Book Review: "The Dutch House" By Ann Patchett

Money can't buy you love. Money can't buy you happiness. Money can't buy you peace of mind.

Look, the truth of the matter here is that evil exists in many forms and often times money is the root of such evil.

This was like the spotlight for what not to do in terms of trust funds, inheritances, and the like as we have two kids from a marriage in which the mother abandoned them and the father abruptly passed away leaving the evil stepmom Andrea in charge of not only his biz but also his home.

So, of course, she takes over with her two girls and throws all else aside including his own children.

Obviously, it leaves a sense of bitterness and ignorance but what it also does is binds the love tighter between Danny and his sis.

You see folks- Even broken crayons still color!

Yes indeed and those memories in 'The Dutch House' will live on in memory.

Long after they are all gone the house will live on.
