Book Review: "The Guardians" By John Grisham

Can you imagine serving 22 years for a crime you didn't commit?

Worse still imagine a simple,"Sorry" upon release as if that could ever make up for the precious life 'stolen' from you!

Or the unthinkable!

What if you're a client of the lawyer who was shot dead and the only suspect?

Can you imagine race playing an issue in finding the killer?

Powerful and ruthless individuals killed and they will stop at nothing to keep an innocent man behind bars for life.

This is one hell of a wild ride with all the thrills and chills to keep you entertained.

The only issue for me was the feeling of being a legal beagle rather than enjoying the thriller aspect of it all. I felt too much legal lingo was used and as an intern with the public defender's office it was ok but for others without such background or a masters in criminal justice it might be a bit much.

With that said, go out and enjoy!
