Book Review: "Magpie" By Sophie Draper

A marriage on the rocks, a reservoir with secrets, a son in need of intervention who turns up missing, and a coin that resembles a pagan character.

My word what more do you need?

Ok, lets begin with this a spouse named Duncan who seems to care more about his animals as a vet than his failing marriage to Claire.

If this doesn't wet your whistle you also have bodies being found at burials with a more recent one having clothing still attached.

Taken separately may not entice but taken as a totality of the circumstances leads a reader to all kinds of crazy thrills.

Like with all thrillers this one may have a slow burn but hell once we ignite the passion and intensity this one is on fire.

The family secrets, the affairs, the abortion is all just added icing on this mysterious case that draws readers into the ever thickening plot.

I for one absolutely loved it and having read over 1k books last year alone mostly thrillers I assure you this one is not to be missed.

In fact this is a must read!!

Thank you to Sophie, the publisher, NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.
