Book Review: "What Happens in Paradise" By Elin Hilderbrand

That moment when you think you know your spouse after 35 yrs of marriage only to find out you married a con artist and have two sons Cash and Baker.

To make matters worse Russ was killed in a helicopter crash on New Years Day so closure may never be offered up on that silver platter.

However, the story doesn't end there as this is St. John's a beautiful tropical and lush paradise that was unfortunately set back with mother nature but that doesn't stop the action and suspense here and trust me there's plenty of affairs and one night stands.

So much talk about money laundering, tax evasion, fraud and the like that it's hard to understand why it's so difficult to live a life on the up and up especially with a fab biz like Ascension.

"Love is messy, complicated, and unfair."

Truth be told it's insane how crazy these relationships became and sad how it ended but you never know there may just be that glimmer of hope.

I was ok with this one till the end and didn't really have much interest in the closure offered.

All in all not a bad read as I love to read Elin's work and it's such a pleasure to be chosen for auto approval at NetGalley with this publisher Little Brown and Company.
