Nina and Marie were best of friends until she passed from a terminal illness.
Nina requested Marie to carry out her final wishes with regards to her family.
However, Marie had her own agenda -one of mistrust, hidden secrets, and this little thing called "jealousy" in wanting what Nina had possessed.
What ultimately happened was the power of the lies escalated and turned deadly resulting in more than just hidden secrets but damning evidence against several individuals.
The concerns centering upon Nina and her other relationships was quite interesting to say the least and while Marie made a promise she ultimately created her own 'oasis' if you will and jumped right in.
The Last Wife by Karen Hamilton was an epic, powerful, heart pounding thriller that had me on the edge of my seat.
What you probably think might happen with one individual is multiplied ten times over and it's truly a domino effect.
