Book Review: "Red Sky Over Hawaii" By Sara Ackerman

I'm truly honored to have been selected to participate in this book blog via Sara Ackerman, NetGalley, Amazon Kindle, and the publisher Harlequin.

This was such a joy to read as it's based on real life event during the historical time frame involving the attack on Pearl Harbor and a secret hideaway tucked into the remote rain forest of Kilauea volcano.

This attack changed everything for our main character -Lana- as her estranged father recently passed- but not before she was attempting to see him for one last reconciliation.

Sara Ackerman truly created a well written and unique read in that she took the historical aspects and created a new dimension to it adding a touch of magic that shines throughout with characters that are larger than life including the Germans and Japanese that were in hiding.

The setting and plot were truly vivid and lively including the animals that all meshed together well to create a vision rarely acquired in historical fiction reads.

The connections that were forged between the characters was emotionally riveting and worth the wait.

The entire premise was beautiful and left no unanswered questions.

A must read for 2020 that will captivate audiences of all ages and genres.

Thank you to Sara, the pub, NetGalley, and Amazon Kindle for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.
