Book Review: "The 13 Minute Murder" By James Patterson

This is a hodge podge of three in one bookshots and so for those who may have read Dead Man Running and 113 Minutes you may be slightly pissed.

With this said, I'm a fan but not a pure bred die hard whose read every book of James Patterson or his co authors so for me I was good.

It begins with Dead Man Running a 2017 novella that had many hearts pounding from reviews I've read.

So I thought to self why not try it out for size and comfort right?

It wasn't bad if you believe the hype and not think about what's being sold.

The fact that a psych doctor named Beck would also be a fighter in action while being treated with a terminable illness such as brain tumor may just have you scratching your head thinking how and or why is this man so damn active when he's supposedly on his death bed?

If you get past the obvious the writing was good, the collaboration with the co author was fine, characters were lively including the main guy Kevin Scott the client and former Army Ranger.

The romance area always makes me chuckle but ok...

All in all it's a workaholic rebel acting as if he has nothing to lose since he's dying any way so why not have this cat and mouse game because in the end he may just get his dream girl.

Now in regards to 113 minutes it's all about Alex who dies from a drug overdose.

His family obviously is distraught and vows revenge including his sis and brothers who are in the process of saving the family farm from foreclosure.

Darn banks are greedy so they devise a hell of a plot to keep it all under lock and key but just one thing they didn't think about the capture in the end...Shoot...

Well, find out for yourself when you read this thriller.

In regards to the 13 minute murder I'm still scratching my head because who in the hell has a hit man plot at Harvard University with a bunch of Croatian men but surely JP has this one thought up as he invites Shan Serafin to join him on this soul searching 'hit man' seeking journey.

When Mike Ryan and his co worker are given a hit it could result in a huge payout so why not keep it moving.

This leads to a 'take down' or 'hit' going all wrong and people's lives in danger with Ryan seeking answers going so far as to take off to Boston for answers.
Another weird idea but Boston it is with Mike being our go too guy with a record for killing and a passion for death. He wants this last kill to be meaningful and give him his glory that he's sought his entire career.

A desperate plea if you will but nevertheless desperate people do desperate things...so if you're looking for mediocre goods this is your go too novel (just make sure you've not read the previous two bookshots).
