Book Review: "Little Sister" By Isabel Ashdown

"Things have a way of working out" isn't that always the case...

This story is one of triumph, heartbreak, love, and loss but in the end it's ultimately all about family.

A better title may be the good, the bad, the ugly, but the never forgotten ones.

You see this family has its sets of secrets. No doubt about it!

This is not the flawless but the deeply flawed and some may even be braggers in their own right.

However, when Jess the sis of Emily decides to babysit Daisy she winds up missing.

Of course, all fingers point to Jess, then to James, and perhaps even Emily but the reality is much different.

Hey just because they(James/Jess) decided to stay up drinking it could've been innocent -Right?!

Chloe is James daughter from his first marriage to Avril.
Avril is somewhat a lost cause having been placed into a psych ward and having it funded by someone close to James.

If that isn't crazy enough there's another iceberg with Lily who is James mom and her connection to her daughter in law Avril that will mess you up.

In addition, I'd add the heightened level of shock and awe surrounding Jess and her childhood past dealing with sexual abuse and a child who nobody will every truly know.

What was it that ended James marriage?

Could Emily be a reason why the marriage ended?

What about the kids as I wonder how are they handling it all?

What about Daisy, will she ever be found alive?

Well back to reality because Jess has another shocker with James and I suppose if you chase it long enough....

A great read and wonderful new thriller that I highly recommend!
