Book Review: "A Bend In The Stars" By Rachel Barenbaum

This is a family with plenty to admire if only they weren't on the run fleeing for their lives.

Miri is on her way to becoming Russia's first female surgeon while her brilliant brother is a physicist on the verge of uncovering Einsteins theory of relativity and finishing the last piece of the puzzle.

They were raised by their Babushka; a matchmaker who tells them to protect themselves and offers them the fight or flight response with regards to WWII playing out all around them.

Before they can make the ultimate choice war is upon them; Vanya goes missing along with Miri's fiance, and she's left to solve it.

History and solar eclipse of 1914 collide in this remarkable new work by Rachel Barenbaum.
