Book Review: "A Face in the Crowd" By Kerry Wilkinson

Sometimes fiction rings true and yes my malignant narc ex husband must have known Ben our main character because it's right out of the same playbook.

Poor Lucy had no idea she was about to be 'used' in terms of her finances when she unexpectedly locates late notices hidden from her former fiance who supposedly died in a train crash.

What isn't so funny is the amount of time, effort, and energy one needs to expend to overcome this abuse of power and control. Trust me I'm still trying to get it in order and I'm happily divorced for past 6 years with 4 attorneys later.

So folks the moral here watch yourself and don't be so trusting.

As the story progresses we learn that Lucy must live paycheck to paycheck at the supermarket so it's no wonder she's ecstatic to find a wad full of bagged money on the bus.
Heck 3k is enough to get started in the right direction and pay off some of the debt she was left but is it enough to bring back Ben?

Perhaps the other moral of the story is that everything is not as it appears and looking back may not be the best idea in relationships. Moving forward is often the key but how she that happen when someone is tugging at your purse strings and making threatening accusations against you?

Stalkers, perpetrators, toxic individuals are not marked as 'monsters' they are your typical ordinary person next door and this is why so many become victims to this madness.

It's like the lucky lotto winner who believes they've hit pay dirt only to have the long lost relatives and phonies coming out of the woodwork to pound on the door.

Be careful what you wish for ~Dreams don't always come true!

This one may just be deadly!
