Book Review: "Hinton Hollow Death Trip" By Will Carver

Bloody Brilliant! Chaos reigned supreme even after Day 7 arrived & long into the darkness thereafter, because if you choose not to stay true to thy self what's the point of living in squalor and going through the motions?

Some people thrive in complete darkness! Some people are lured by shiny objects! Some will never enter the woods nor exit out from them.

Yet, others will triumph, others will see the light, others will uncover their truths and embrace them with empathy, love, and compassion for those who cannot.

This was pure mind blowing work in which what you think happens just might because we're talking about Evil vs. Good intentions but what does it matter in the end.

Life is fickle. Life is full of chaos, wonder, terror, and strife. Life can be altered, changed, absorbed, or settled in the blink of an eye.
An eye for an eye or a death for a death. Pick your poison.

Who would you choose to die if you could save your favorite for life?
The beating of your heart lets me know you're alive but when the beating fades to black the flames arrive and evil sets in.

Don't become complacent in the darkness. Don't live in the depth of despair and depression. Don't wither away on the vine. Find love! Become joyous! Celebrate life!
So I ask you- Would you die for me?

No, really I want to know. Am I worthy asking on behalf of the victims and their families? Because for Oscar, he never felt loved not in the sense of one's parental relationship as a mother with a child. Therefore, how could Oz just fall in or out of love when he's never been shown real love in that sense?

Yet, you seem so holier than though, so full of life, so happy to filter those pictures and send out those letters to decline the very essence of acceptance. With all these deaths comes the mass of remembrances yet do you really care?

"The more evil inside, the less soul you have."

Will Carver notes," Hope is just a dream when it is not attached to action."
What will we do when we all lose hope? We can't all go to Hinton Hollow.

Need we remind ourselves evil is out there. Evil presents itself as niceness. Evil doesn't care. Evil is slavery.

There's no patterns here, no rhyme or reason. No modus operandi to go off of yet the deaths are piling up.

If only we had more time. It's so precious. So elusive. So slippery a slope to climb.
We do have time if we manage ourselves correctly but are we willing to do so -that's the question?

Surely, I could discuss details about the Ordinary Man, the young boy Henry on the train abandoned, or Oz in the boot of the car, or how about we discuss Jacob and Faith sitting on a cold slab at the morgue? Is this what we need?

Darren is at the slaughterhouse. Killing animals.

Blind faith is EVIL!

Answer me this: Why the slaughterhouse? Why kill a mom and child? What connection is there between defenseless animals and defenseless humans?
Are we all lost? Left to ponder the meaning of life? Alone? Isolated? Depressed?
Have we all been lied too?

A walking nightmare with sexual perversion, privilege, separation anxiety, power, anger, misogynistic ways, denial, solidarity, war, retaliation, prayer at the helm.
I see you are holy so let us pray. Let us ask the Lord for forgiveness.
In the end "You hope that there is more good in the world than evil. And you hope that there can be peace. And you hope that the ice caps won't melt and a cure will be found and things will become more equal between the sexes."

Father Salis knows this as he spews the bs off his lips to his congregation.

I suppose "Happiness was simply relief in disguise."

After all to experience true pleasure you must deal with the pain.

Will your friend be there for you or will he too stab you in the back? I wonder...
We can't end this on a sour note so let me tell you this was so damn explosive that I couldn't put it down. For those who follow my reviews you know I sometimes have my journal handy. Trust me - you'll need it in keeping things straight. Just note: Twelve full pages front and back for this gal.

What I can tell readers is that Will Carver is like fine wine- he gets better and better with age.
I don't drink as I have three kids (single mom) but I do know that you're supposed to swirl it around at the top of the glass from what I'm told.

This felt much like that swirl! It was full, complete, hypnotic, and engulfing. A fire storm that burned everything in its path. Leaving memories that were etched and sizzled into the minds of all readers alike.

You can't walk away and not be touched, moved, and deeply shaken by this novel.
Go back home and wash away your sins. Isn't that great.

However, some are sucked into that vertex of nothingness. That black hole. That gaping wound that's only visible to the one living it.

So be kind. Love one another. Stay authentic.

I'm a twenty year volunteer and I've always told others if you're feeling down go out and volunteer. Give back even if all you have is your time.

You will soon realize your life is better than you thought because we all have problems but some of us have them much worse.

Remember this: We can and shall overcome if we stay united.
Be that change!

Much love!

Thank you to Will Carver and Orenda Books! I'm a huge fan of both of you!
