Book Review: "The Queen's Assassin" By Melissa De La Cruz

"The king is dead! Long live the queen."

Well, now the real question must be," What use is living in a kingdom of fear, under constant threat ."

The king Esban died after his scuffle with Aphrasians or so we are led to believe.
However, who is this Shadow you speak of alongside his savior Caledon Holt?
Eighteen years have passed and clearly plenty has changed including the landscape but why wasn't the queen informed of Holt?

What if he's punished for the death of the king?
Shall we speak ill will and notify those of authority that the prince tried killing Shadow with a mask of Aphrasian origin upon his face?

Was he a traitor to the crown?

Secrets exist among these quick 42 pages of this teaser but I for one will be lining up to get a copy of the full novel upon its release.

The secrets of Baer Abby await as Shadow is called to Violla Ruza and I must journey along for the ride.

Till we meet again.

Thank you, Melissa de la Cruz, the pub, NetGalley, and Amazon Kindle for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.
