Book Review: "The Family Game" By Catherine Steadman

The Family Game was non-stop, heart pounding, thrilling action!

It begins with Harriet Reed a novelist alongside her fiance Edward.

As it turns out there's a confession made by Robert (Edward's dad) about murder!

Guess it's time to go have dinner and meet the family...

Welp, there's more as readers uncover Harriet's pregnant.

Now, Bobby was the son of Robert who appears to have died at his own hands. However, appearances are deceiving.

Ironically, those closest to us often hold the deepest/darkest/horrific secrets.

Catherine Steadman never disappoints and this new work is proof of that commitment to excellence.

I cannot imagine being pregnant and unraveling all the family secrets. It's mind blowingly brilliant to live it out with Harriet in what feels like real time.

As it sizzles hotter we find that things are burning out of control and sadly, there's more than one death here.

But with death comes light and a new hope for enduring struggling times.

Iris is that hope encapsulated in love and brought into the world through tragic yet triumphant times.
