Hot damn Kimberly Belle is in da' house! The Personal Assistant is off the charts!
I read this so flippin' fast while waiting for my daughter to get out of school that I didn't even take notes so, be kind as I try to rewind. What I can tell you is this book was smokin' hot right from the start with Alex who enjoyed posting family moments online. Innocently enough it morphed into a 'larger than life' influencer position requiring a personal assistant named AC aka Anna Claire. However, that might not have been her only job. You know how it's with women...we're often treated like maids -tending to everyone else but ourselves.
This gal got herself into some deep as F trouble including some shady dealings with money and drugs playing center fiddle.
Luckily, Detective Bennett managed to piece together the puzzle considering the past was twenty five years ago.
Welp, money, murder, and mayhem and twins needing attention because whatever is posted online stays forever!
Alex is now paying the price for past mistakes especially involving Patrick her spouse.
We must pick up the pieces and begin anew. Here's to a new following of online persona involving more empathy, nurturing, and helpful advice. Telling a story is sometimes better when it's viewed as more of a confession.
Did Patrick truly love Alex? Could he have after all he's done?
What can be said emphatically is that love is sometimes blind. Sometimes we spend a lifetime hoping, waiting, seeking beyond our means.
Time to turn off the phones and get back to work!
Now, if only I can find someone who cares...because in the end, the world is mad/noisening and we must find our solice/peace among the madness. People, family, & friends are the essence of life and Alex now knows this to be true.
Special shout out to my local public free library for this hardcover copy. Don't be afraid to hit them up as they'll always come forward when you take time off from reviewing over 1,300 books a year to tend to your own families needs. Pray for pop-end stage spinal cancer and for my family as we continue to battle in extreme poverty seeking full time entry level work. Thank a reviewer when ya see one as these reviews are provided freely.
God bless our local libraries and all those who take the time to show they care.
