I'm a huge fan of C.J. Box until he gets to play judge and jury where he's not allowed too!
This is one of those cases where he tries to impede upon the Antifa and Swastikas with Nazi characteristics that's just out of his league.Politics for me is a dirty subject that's to be left out of thriller reads unless you're versed well in writing about a particular subject matter.
For me this felt forced, it felt low blow, it felt like it would've been better with the cops and robbers scenario or the old wild west than the current social media bs that I get plenty of online.
I come to read, to be taken away from reality, not to be forced back into it.
Please stick with what you know best and write what you know best for all involved.
This is the 2nd C.J. Box today that has dealt with politics and how anyone thinks they can stretch it from moose poaching to a photo album from a library which belonged to an infamous Nazi official is just not my cup of tea especially when it's so opinionated.
It begins with a moose and ends with a burned out body right from the 1st sentence. Where's the trademark C.J. Box material we've come to love. The loving relationships built between Joe Pickett and wife Marybeth?
What happened to the history of Wyoming instead of the depiction of woman as anything but strong? Why are so many authors throwing in the towel?
This is like the ratings week on cable but this isn't supposed to be this way for authors that we've admired.
This is the 22nd in the Pickett Series but it may be my last as I'm tired of this nonsense.
