Book Review: "The Lost Girls of Willowbrook" By Ellen Marie Wiseman

Imagine having a twin sister but not being able to see her for six long years? Is she alive or dead? Where the hell is she? Does she need help? Is she in trouble?

My word...it's hard enough being a teen but at 16yo Sage is having to ask so many questions about Rosemarie's actions.

In fact, we learn she's been shored up in a psych ward on Stanton Island NY while Sage wanted to run away from her abusive step-dad Allen while her mom was a drunk. She'd never known where her real dad was because her mother basically kept them distant.

Now, your probably asking yourself, "How could a dead person go missing?"

Rosemarie, was dead at Willowbrook yet missing for the past 3 days? WTH?

Meanwhile, Allen said Rosemarie died of pneumonia.

Ok, hmm, welp what about locking up Sage because you now believe she's seeing dead people?

Is there any truth to that notion?

Is Sage just as crazy as Rosemarie? Could the same Doctor behind Rosemarie's disappearance and death be also in charge of Sage's psychotic evaluations/diagnosis?

Is Sage having delusions or did someone truly slit Rosemarie's throat and toss her in the basement as she's now claiming?

This is getting crazier by the moment but what's not so funny is just how far people go to actually do this in reality today.

Supposedly, there's been documentation by Geraldo Rivera on just such an occurrence.

Dr. Baldwin I presume isn't answering with certainty any questions after the body was removed.

Is Sage Winters a paranoid schizophrenic or is the doctor covering his tracks?

Wayne an attendant is now being questioned after finding her hair cut off and wrists/throat slit.

Evie Carter is now dead and ironically the doctor had sexual relations with Evie.

So, perhaps we should back track with step dad Allen as he's now under the bed dead!

WTH?

Dead for days?!

YIKES!!!

Seems someone's been quite busy lately...

Did I mention that Eddie the janitor seems to be the last one to see Allen alive?

"Angel of Mercy" is now being sought...this person loves to kill and relocate bodies

Well, it appears someone ain't too happy with other people being sinners.

However, in the end Sage seems to have at least some closure about her family.

Thank goodness too because this is quite the trip ticket!

Thank you Bibliotheca for this fab audio!

When a gal has Covid Pneumonia reading is last on priority list at the moment as I nurse myself back to health.

God bless all those suffering from this god awful virus.
