A barn burner of a novel in which what you thought you knew will be tested to the brink!Be ready because this one rolls out hard and fast and you have to run to keep up with this thickening plot and heavily burdened yet vivid characters.
It begins with a couple Lilly and Mike but ends in disaster.
Quite frankly Lilly is dead and Mike is the prime suspect but the question remains is he guilty?
The story starts with a man named Thomas a helper of sorts and close 'friend' if you will with Lilly.
He has a deep connection with Lilly but Mike is a jealous man who is easily set off so she keeps the relationship under wraps.
Until she can't and it becomes a nightmare.
Her sister Maggie wants to know the truth. She wants justice and demands it but it comes at a hefty price.
Abuse is not an easy topic for discussion and certainly not domestic violence behind closed doors.
Here we have just that but with a man and confidante that she trusted perhaps too much.
Which man is up for debate as I won't give the clues to reveal the perp but safe to say this was a cracker of a book.
