This was a hard one to rate because I'm between two levels here.
On one hand I enjoyed the finale but on the other side I felt bogged down in getting there.
I'm an empath, I feel things, I go deep into emotions, I get triggered in a good way on certain issues.
With this noted, I just felt this had too much fluff and needed more restrictions because the underlying story was good.
Eliza is our gal-who starts a rumor- but not until after she begins a platform for other women to speak out.
She's a mom of twin preschoolers and a bit of agoraphobia.
The book focuses on the healing power of women and sisterhood.
I became more emotionally invested upon learning one of the characters was a sexual abuse survivor from a horrible situation 30 years earlier.
All in all -a slower sizzle- with a wonderful and powerful- underlying tone that took off.
Thank you to Jane, the pub, NetGalley, and Kindle for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.
