Book Review: Becoming Muhammad Ali" By James Patterson and Kwame Alexander

One of the greatest but also a local that we shall never forget. https://www.wnep.com/article/news/local/schuylkill-county/deer-lake-muhammad-ali-training-camp/523-9437ab86-a44e-49f6-9049-4ce91e0c3638

Here in Northeastern Pennsylvania we know all about the legend as his training sight was located right here in Deer Lake Schuylkill County Pennsylvania established in nineteen seventy two.

To be fair I was just born around the time he was practicing in the ring for some of his greatest and most memorable fights as this book notes.

His gift was in knowing he would one day be the greatest and not allowing anyone to take that motivation, charm, charisma, and toughness away.

He's truly one of the greats and though Parkinson's was a disease that ravaged his body his ultimate death was due in large part to septic shock which was extremely dangerous as doctors were concerned about his fragility and moving him in that condition.

He was 74 when he passed but left a lifetime of memories, accomplishments, and long time friends and family members to carry on his name and image.

We love everything about him as his love of boxing was only part of who he was because God knew what he had created when he created Cassius Clay.
