Book Review: "Red Hands" By Christopher Golden

A small town July 4th parade turns into a nightmare when a car veers out of control hitting several spectators while a virus grows out of control.

This parade has been an annual traditional event and brought many people together but now it's a deadly scene as several parade attendees have been hit.

It's a bizarre scenario as the driver staggers out of the car and sadly everything he touches is nearly killed instantly. Nothing hurts worse than being clunked over the head but Maeve-girl! You had to use a bat?!

I bet that hurt but perhaps the driver didn't suffer in his final minutes but I can't say the same for Maeve who now contracted what this man possessed.

It seems very few individuals care about Maeve but when the virus goes out of control Jericho Falls becomes the hot spot or hot bed if you will for activity in more ways than one.

The premise sounds so creepy and yet drove me to explore more deeply as Christopher Golden added plenty of excruciating details with a person on the run with the virus and the town worried they'd be next to contract the deadly virus that's resulted in a quarantine for the residents.

Walker (agent with sketchy past) is now our main man tasked with finding Maeve before it's too late as she stakes out in the rural mountainside.

The latter half of this book was spent trying to catch the individual with the virus via government officials while trying to stay safe from a full blow infection or worse.

A great new work that came together nicely with plenty of hot action, suspense, mystery, intrigue, and all the goods thrown in for added pleasure seekers.

Thank you to Netgalley, Amazon Pub, and all those who made this ARC possible.
