Book Review: "Murder of Innocence" By James Patterson

This is a dual novel with two unbearable stories which revolve around domestic violence, sexual assault, date rape drugs, and death.

The first story involves Murder of Innocence our main feature title incorporating Mr. Luster who is anything but a star. In fact, he's obnoxious, disgusting, egotistical, and dangerous.
A toxic sick and twisted individual who uses his wealth to get involved in fast moving actions that are to the detriment of the women.

He lures these poor young ladies into a lifestyle which on the outside appears prestigious and alluring until they realize it's all smoke and fog from a snake oil salesman after the fact.
Guess who comes to visit him...

A DOG as in the BOUNTY HUNTER who took this PIG down and thankfully not a moment too soon. As orange pin stripes might look good on him for the next 50 years after drugging and sexually abusing women.

Now, the second story was similar in nature. Again an older man taking advantage of a younger woman Susan who had filed a PFA (restraining order) against her ex-husband Clint whom she lost child custody too. Yes, this is believable as mine violated the order resulting in his arrest yet he too still had visitation but luckily I'm primary care giver.

This second novel entitled, "A Murderous Affair" which centered upon one central theme an older man having his cake and eating it too both literally and figuratively was puke worthy.
Mark not only was a FBI agent in Miami but married while working using Susan's testimony as a paid informant in a bank robbery case.

Who knew we'd one day talk about "Cat eyes", dirty money via Susan's drug dealing ex husband and now to bring others in via FBI tactics, plus an FBI agent being an accused murderer of an informant.

There's much more as things heat up between Susan and Mark and it results in her permanent silence.

For me this was written by an older male and it came across to me like a 'dream' and it made me nauseated as a strong woman I'm sick and tired of women being portrayed in this manner of fashion for the sake of making a quick buck.

However, this is the new norm folks and it's like everyone wants to get their kicks on Route 66 but I for one will never go along for this ride.

It's one of James Patterson's works that are the quick, short sentences, easily read and consumed pieces that had a 3 star for the first and a 4 star for the written element in the second but not for the subject matter that made me nauseated!
