Book Review: "Dark August" By Katie Tallo

Imagine this scenario: Your last living relative passes away and you're left with an inheritance that includes a home and her dog all while you're trying to get your life on track with a drifter boyfriend.

Ok, well perhaps you don't have too imagine during these trying times but this one packs a punch from Katie Tallo.

Every emotion is on display here as we uncover Augusta (aka Gus) mom was a former detective and has unearthed a cold case with plenty of juicy details left to be discovered for her daughter through notes and other memorabilia.

You could say it's a treasure trove of information tucked away in Augusta's great grandmother's home that leads her in a chase for the killer.

Perhaps the hunter becomes the hunted in this case as things heat up rather quickly after a slow sizzle.

The Halliday House is bustling with activity near and far and perhaps things are getting too hot as in oh snap.. FIRE!

You know what they say often crimes of passion result from close knit individuals -family members-close acquaintances and those who know you deeply.

This novel brings all that to the forefront as sexual abuse, creepy as hell videos, and set ups are in the future of these characters involvement.

A fab new debut for Tallo!
