Book Review: "A Bad Day for Sunshine" By Darynda Jones

Teen girl on the loose! Kidnapper running wild! Teen daughters school issues. Haunting memories!

Now, this is one hell of a full plate and add a newly elected sheriff to stir up the pot thanks to Sunshine's parents with an old flame Levi with a hunky marshall of law, and folks- You got yourself a WINNER!

This was full of hunks but what's up with Doug- the flasher- that hampers Sunshine's efforts to go home- or at least home without drama for a change.

This was a novel in which the characters made it pleasurable and likeable with a single mom of a 14 yo who is experiencing everything from teen angst with dating to full blown detective skills in solving the mystery of the missing girl that has plagued her own mother.

Sunshine was abducted as a teen and it's that haunting memory that caused her to seek revenge upon her return to her beloved state of New Mexico.

The chemistry and interactions between these ladies and that of the former lover Levi really set the tone for the rest of the book.

It was truly a wonderful read!

Thank you to Darynda for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.
